Occurrence

· Millions of people are reporting depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions

Study in the British Journal Of Sports Medicine

· Reviewed more than 1000 research trials examining the effects of physical activity

· It showed exercise is more effective than medication or counseling

· 150 minutes per week of various types of physical activity, such as brisk, walking, lifting weights, and aerobics, (SWIMMING???) can make a huge difference with depression, anxiety and psychological distress

· Depression showed the most gains with exercise

· Research also supported the more intense, the work out, the better the results
