Jesus is the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God. Because He is the source of life, He can tell us our true condition. Through the church in Laodicea, Jesus is inviting us to lay down areas of indifference and independence so that we can have intimate fellowship with Him. To those who overcome, there is an invitation to reign and rule with Him.
