We all want the best.  Our road to being the best is hardly ever healthy.  We usually use pain to motivate ourselves.  Don’t get me wrong, pain is a great motivator, however it has a specific time and place to be used.  There are many way ways to motivate that we don’t use. This pain and motivation gets exploited by the industries of self-help and creates a whole new sub-culture of men and women.  This is not good.  More the reason to be a part of our community we have here.

One thing I learned from addiction and recovery from addiction is that you cannot rely on blame. This has also been a main teaching tool in our Men’s Development courses.

As men we need to RELY on our own foundation. In order to achieve the highest level of self we need to not harbor resentment, blame or contempt. If we do we are not free. We cannot be ourselves, we cannot perform at the highest level and we make ourselves slaves to things we cannot control.
