If you’ve said “I trust God” but still find yourself pacing at 2 AM or refreshing your business dashboard compulsively, you’re not alone.
The problem isn’t your faith—it’s that your nervous system hasn’t caught up to your theology. You’ve been treating God as a resource instead of your source.
In this video, I break down exactly why this happens and what to do about it—from both a neuroscience AND biblical perspective.
This is the framework that helped me go from burnout-induced hospitalization to building a seven-figure business that runs on rest.
The Difference Between God as a Resource vs. a Source
When you view God as a resource, He’s your backup plan. You work as if everything depends on you, then pray when things get hard. You operate in constant vigilance, checking metrics obsessively, unable to delegate, terrified of dropping the ball.
This is why you can say “I trust God” while your body is stuck in fight-or-flight mode.
When you view God as your source, you recognize Him as the creator and sustainer of your success.
This shifts how you work, plan, rest, and show up for your family. Your nervous system finally gets the message: you are safe, even when things are uncertain.
Why Your Mind Won’t Stop Racing (Even When You Stop Hustling)
When you walk away from hustle culture, you will hit this wall early.
You can rest your body, but your mind continues racing. You take breaks from work but can’t stop thinking about it. You’re glued to your laptop during family time. You feel guilty when you’re not producing.
This happens because your trust hasn’t caught up with your theology.
You believe God is trustworthy intellectually, but your body—your nervous system—hasn’t learned to operate from that trust. Your autonomic nervous system is still running the old program: “Everything depends on me. If I relax, it all falls apart.”
This is the gap between head knowledge and embodied faith. And it’s why so many entrepreneurs burn out despite praying, reading Scripture, and believing all the right things.
The Solution: Reconnecting Mind, Body, and Spirit
This is why reconnecting with God is the first phase in the 5R’s of Rest Centered Wealth.
Without establishing God as your actual source—not just in your mind, but in your body’s operating system—sustainable growth remains out of reach.
You’ll keep hustling. Keep overworking. Keep sacrificing your health, relationships, and your peace.
