Nick talks to Sheffield Beatles Project’s Samples/Synth/Lead Vocal wizard, Ad Follett, about Abbey Road’s sun-kissed centre-piece, ‘Here Comes The Sun’.
They find out in whose garden George Harrison wrote the song, uncover a lost guitar solo, listen to some isolated stems from the track, and break down some of the song’s more complex rhythms. They also discuss George Harrison’s sonic influence on the Beatles, from Indian classical music to the pioneering electronic instruments of the late 60’s (in which they also listen to excerpts from George Harrison’s least successful and most controversial solo album…)
