Shelbe shares how her spiritual awakening unexpectedly caused her to lose the ambition and “go-getter” drive she’d had since her late 20s and 30s, leading her to question her purpose and wonder if it was a midlife crisis.

Shelbe explained this wasn’t laziness, but a result of spiritual awakening dismantling old ego identities and societal programming rather than adding new goals or hype. 

Shelbe contrasts it with a 2020 “societal awakening” during C-19 that motivated her to leave the 9–5 system, and describes how her mother’s cross-over further led to a deeper spiritual awakening. 

Over time, motivation begins returning with a new meaning—more calm, flow, and less chasing—while periods of quiet, emptiness, and loneliness are framed as normal parts of the ongoing journey toward remembering one’s true spiritual self and purpose.
