City Councilman Michael Rainville joins to discuss the state of George Floyd Square. He and Sheletta talk about some possibilities for the space and those fighting to create a memorial for George Floyd and the birthplace of the modern era Civil Rights Movement.

Kristi Piehl has been a longtime friend and supporter of Sheletta and after much pursuit we were finally able to get her on the show. Kristi joins to talk about her son Alec and his recent cancer diagnosis. He has an extremely rare form of Ewing sarcoma. Kristi shares the steps leading to his diagnosis and how much support he and their family have received. They also get into the early releases of Super Bowl commercials and the marketing consideration behind it.

As a small business owner himself he gets into some of the details of entrepreneurship he empathizes with and his view of government getting out of the way. Rep. Koznick recalls some of the small business owners he met with at Sheletta’s luncheon at Black Entrepreneur’s Day.

Rep. Melissa Hortman (Speaker, MN House of Representatives) joins The Sheletta Show to break down what’s been going down in the Minnesota State House and the new power sharing agreement that was reached this week. Rep. Hortman goes through some of the details of that deal and legislation she’s looking to focus on this session.
