There are so many things that the PACER Center does to help those with Autism and the families that surround them with love can receive help with so we talked to Rose Quintero of PACER to join Sheletta to highlight what is PACER, what services are available and how people of many different cultural backgrounds and ethnicities can do to join in on the events PACER has coming up!

Another hour of the Sheletta Show, another hour where we can tell you about some impactful events going on coming up including a fundraiser to help aspiring journalists have a more affordable college education - Sheree Curry joined us to talk about a bowling fundraiser to do just that. Also Leo Lerner of Lerner Publishing talking “Bands for the Banned” an effort to keep books on the shelves and not becoming banned in schools!

Through many banned books in this country, books such as Sheletta’s children's books have had success but collectively there is a need to prevent the banning of books in schools and one publishing group Lerner Publishing is hosting a “Bands for the Banned” event coming up in a few weeks and Leo Lerner who serves as the Special Sales Associate for Lerner Publishing joined the show to preview this great event in hopes to keep books on the shelves and further maintain the freedom to read for children in schools!

Parents all over the country struggle when it comes to funding their children’s college tuition. We talked to Sheree Curry about an amazing fundraiser coming up at the Park Tavern to take some of those funds off the table when it comes to affording a journalism degree in college!

We began the first hour of the Sheletta Show today by chatting with Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon about absentee voting as well as college kids making their vote count! Also Cathy Wurzer joined to preview an incredible documentary coming out courtesy of TPT spotlighting Minnesota broadcasting throughout the decades! Then Sheletta shares where she is headed next for her lock giveaway to help families struggling with Autism!

There is an upcoming documentary showcasing the broadcast news of Minnesota throughout the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s courtesy of TPT and it is going to be on display at Riverview Theater so Cathy Wurzer joined the show to give us all of the details of this production educating many on how broadcast news was distributed over the decades!

Many experienced an issue when it comes to their signature when submitting absentee ballots for the election so we invited on Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon to explain why so many people had to return to the voting booth to resubmit their ballots and also we chatted about educating college students about voting both nationally and regionally!

Final hour of the Sheletta Show we talked to Shontel Booker, certified yoga instructor at Dream In Color - who gives us a way to relieve stress through the power of yoga including the togetherness that had taken place at Saturday morning’s brunch! Then we preview ways in which we can recycle and what we can recycle with Beth Carreno of Ramsey County ahead of November 15th which is National Recycling Day! Then we talk to Steve Thomson about his Fall to-do list and preview his show!
