The crowds in Jerusalem not only rejected Jesus; He rejected them. And not only rejection, total condemnation. Jesus Christ, in John 7:25-36, barred the doors of heaven closed to the ones who had rejected Him. Where He was going... They COULD NOT COME. Join us as we examine what it means to be under the reprobation of God and how even that is good news for the elect. 

Underneath the text of John 7 (and frankly all scripture) is a persistent thread of covenant. God began the Bible with covenant. He pushes His story forward with covenants. And He writes the story of redemption through Christ, the King and fulfillment of all covenants. John us as we explore the covenant underpinning of John 7:19-23 and see how Jesus is the Christ of the Covenants!

When Jesus entered Jerusalem in John 7, He did so unwelcomed. He was not heralded. He was not celebrated. He was even accused of being a law-breaker! In today's passage (verses 17-24) we will see how Christ defended that charge, then turned the tables on the Jews, showcasing that they, were in fact, the law breakers they had accused Him of being. And in the end, we will see, how Jesus it the hope for law breakers like us today. Join us, as er explore this passage together!  

There are a myriad of ways to reject Jesus. In today's text we will examine 10 ways that Jesus was rejected by His own people in John 7:8-18 and then we will discuss how there is ONLY ONE way to rightly receive Him.  And that is to accept His teaching and His Word! In John 7:1-9, Jesus faces 4 moments of crisis in His ministry that demonstrates who He truly is. He is not a man who is regulated by His flesh or the things of the world, He is a man who is regulated by the things of God, which gives us great hope. Because Jesus lived and died in perfect submission to the regulations of God, we can be saved. And not only that, we can grow to live like Him. Join us as we explore John 7:1-9 together!

We live in a world that is filled with identity crises and moral confusion. The reason is that the world eagerly seeks to define their identities on everything but Jesus. But, thankfully, this is not true for the Christian! We have a brand new identity because of Jesus Christ, which propels us out of confusion and into understanding that will continue for eternity.
