  • Living Secure Amidst Hostility | 1 Peter 3:13-17 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 1/25/2026

In this message from 1 Peter 3:13-17, Pastor Andrew Coleman addresses how Christians can live securely when obedience to Christ brings friction rather than favor. Peter teaches believers how to respond when following Jesus provokes hostility, misunderstanding, or outright persecution. This passage offers both comfort and challenge: we belong to Christ and are destined for glory, yet we must learn to suffer well, fear God rather than opponents, and bear witness with hope-filled gentleness.

Pastor Coleman walks through five key principles for living faithfully in hostile environments. From understanding that suffering for righteousness is sometimes normal, to redirecting our fear from people to God alone, to maintaining a clear conscience when slandered, this sermon equips believers to stand firm. The central call is to honor Christ as Lord in our hearts and be prepared to explain our hope with gentleness and respect when the world asks why we have peace amid pressure.

  • Blessed in the Good Life | 1 Peter 3:8-12 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 1/18/2026

In this passage, Peter teaches the church what true Christian living looks like in a broken and hostile world. The good life God promises is not built on retaliation, pride, or self-protection, but on Christ-shaped humility, unity, compassion, and sacrificial love. Believers are called to respond to evil with blessing, guard their words, turn away from sin, actively pursue peace, and reflect the heart of Christ in their relationships.

This sermon highlights God’s promise to watch over the righteous, hear their prayers, and bring justice in His perfect timing. As followers of Jesus, our daily conduct becomes a visible testimony of the transforming power of the gospel.

  • 2026: Living in God’s Grace | Titus 2:11-15 | Pastor Andrew | 1/11/2026

God’s grace is not merely something we receive once for forgiveness. It is the foundation upon which the entire Christian life is built. In Titus 2, Paul reminds us that grace has appeared in Christ, bringing salvation to all kinds of people and establishing a new starting point for life, family, and church. Reform does not begin with pressure, shame, or cultural battles. It begins with grace revealed. Grace is not the reward of godliness. It is the root of it.

That same grace actively trains us in the present age. Grace is not passive or permissive. It disciplines, forms, and reshapes our desires, teaching us to renounce ungodliness while learning self-control, uprightness, and godliness. As we wait for our blessed hope, the return of Jesus Christ, grace also reorients our future. We do not live faithfully to earn the future. We live faithfully because the future is already secure.

Finally, grace reminds us who we are together. Christ gave Himself to redeem and purify a people for His own possession, a people marked by zeal for good works. The Christian life is not isolated self-improvement but shared identity and shared mission. Rooted in the cross, formed in the present, and anchored in future glory, God’s grace shapes how we live now while we wait for what is to come.

  • A Husband’s Responsibility | 1 Peter 3:7 | 12/14/2025

In this message from 1 Peter 3: 7, the apostle Peter continues addressing marriage within his larger call to holy living in a hostile world. In the previous six verses, wives are called to reflect Christ’s willing submission through respectful, pure conduct.

Then, Peter turns to husbands in 1 Peter 3:7, and the weight of responsibility intensifies. Husbands are not exempt from submission. Instead, their submission takes the form of sacrificial leadership modeled after Christ Himself. Husbands are commanded to live with their wives according to understanding they have gained by studying and honoring them with attentiveness and care.

Calling wives the “weaker vessel” does not diminish their worth or spirituality. The Bible is clear that husbands and wives are equal heirs of the grace of life, sharing the same salvation, dignity, and eternal hope. Instead, the term "weaker vessel" acknowledges physical vulnerability and places greater moral responsibility on the one with greater strength. Husbands are called to display a biblical masculinity that is not harsh or ignorant, but is loving, gentle, and protective. The passage closes with a sobering warning: how a husband treats his wife directly affects his relationship with God and his prayers. Spiritual leadership cannot be separated from relational faithfulness.

Ultimately, in 1 Peter 3:1–7, the Holy Spirit calls the church to display Christ to the world through submitting wives and sacrificing husbands—where strength serves, love protects, and holiness reflects the gospel itself.

  • Submission In Marriage — A Doozy, Part 2 | 1 Peter 3:1-6 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 12/7/2025

In this message from our 1 Peter series, Pastor Andrew digs into Peter’s teaching on submission within marriage. Set in a cultural context where women were often undervalued and objectified, and at times spiritually isolated in marriage, Peter’s words offer a radically dignifying and Christ-centered vision for both wives and husbands.

Peter calls wives to a posture of courageous, Christlike submission—not inferiority. Just as Jesus willingly submitted to the Father, a wife displays holy strength when her respectful, pure conduct points unbelieving husbands toward the gospel. Her beauty is to flow not from external adornment, (highly prized by Roman culture at the writing of 1 Peter) but from the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, precious in God’s sight. Peter points to the “holy women who hoped in God,” especially Sarah, whose faith triumphed over fear and whose inner character revealed her true adornment as she lived out true faith toward God in her marriage to Abraham.

This passage invites us to resist cultural distortions around gender, beauty, and marriage, and instead embrace God’s design. Biblical submission is faith-filled, courage-driven, and rooted in hope—a reflection of Christ’s own humility and strength. May our marriages display His glory.

  • The Covenant Nature of Biblical Marriage, Part 2 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 11/16/2025

In this continuation of the Marriage 2025 series, Pastor Andrew Coleman explores the deeply covenantal nature of biblical marriage, showing how it mirrors God’s unbreakable commitment to His people. From Genesis 2:24’s leaving, cleaving, and becoming one flesh to the prophetic picture of Yahweh as Israel’s husband and Christ as the ultimate Bridegroom, marriage is revealed as a sacred sign of the gospel itself—sealed by blood, kept by grace, and destined for eternal celebration at the marriage supper of the Lamb.

This message calls every couple to pursue indissoluble loyalty, sacrificial love, and mutual submission that displays Christ and the church (Ephesians 5). Whether newly married or decades in, you’ll be equipped to renew your covenant daily and anchor your home in the hope of the new covenant.

  • The Covenant Nature of Biblical Marriage | Various Passages | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 11/9/2025

Dive into the breathtaking covenant heart of biblical marriage. Pastor Andrew Coleman describes Genesis 2:24's call to leave, cleave, and become one flesh; this mirrors God’s unbreakable vow to Israel (Hosea 2:19–20; Jeremiah 31:31–34) and finds its ultimate fulfillment in Christ the Bridegroom (Ephesians 5:31–32; Revelation 19:6–9). Trace pre-Fall truths, Old Testament symbols like the bride price and ketubah, and see marriage as sacred covenant, not contract. Witness divine faithfulness triumph over human failure; the church is forever united to the Lamb, hearts transformed and promises sealed by Christ’s blood (Luke 22:20). Watch now and let this divine blueprint ignite your understanding of redemption and eternal oneness.

  • Submission in Marriage--a Doozy | 1 Peter 3:1–7 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 11/2/2025

In 1 Peter 3, Peter continues his theme of holy living, showing that submission and honor within marriage are not signs of weakness but rather are reflections of Christ’s strength and love. Marriage is not man’s idea — it’s God’s grand design from the very beginning. Throughout Scripture, we see many references to this beautiful design for marriage. In Genesis 2, God Himself created woman, brought her to the man, and spoke the covenant of marriage into existence: “The two shall become one flesh.” He performed the first marriage, joining husband and wife together for His glory and their good. Ultimately, marriage is patterned after Christ’s covenant commitment to the Church, and through this physical picture of the relationship between Christ and the church, shows us His love and glory.

Marriage is from God, by God, and for God. It reflects His covenant love — the same love Christ has for His Bride, the Church (Ephesians 5:31–32). When we understand that God is the one who joins a man and woman together, we value and protect marriage with deeper reverence and joy.
