  • God’s Love Means God’s Generosity | Select Passages | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 03/23/2025

In today's sermon, Pastor Andrew Coleman preaches on select passages from Scripture which show us God's amazing generosity. We see that God’s love means that God generously gives of himself to us. We also see that God CAN give all because he made all and owns all. God's amazing love displayed through his generosity is apparent from eternity past into present time and will continue into eternity future (see Sermon Notes for Scripture passages). Revelation 21:6 sums up the beauty and hope of God's loving generosity: "And he said to me, 'It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.' "

  • The Lord’s Reign Brings Glory and Gladness | Psalm 97 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 03/16/2025

Pastor Andrew preaches on Psalm 97, and as we dig into this passage, we see the Lord as the Reigning One and the Righteous One. God is the King over all creation--all nature and all nations--therefore, we can have joy and gladness! He has the victory over all things. God is victorious over evil and idolatry (the root of sin). God is victorious in delivering His people from the wicked. God is victorious in securing His holy place of Zion. God is victorious in securing JOY for all who trust in Him despite their circumstances.

  • The Joy of the Found | Luke 15:11–32 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 03/02/2025

Pastor Andrew examines the Parable of the Prodigal Son, not just as a story of one wayward child but of two rebellious sons and a gracious father. It first highlights the burdens of being lost—shamelessness, desperation, and selfish envy—before revealing the joy of redemption. True joy begins when a sinner recognizes their desperate state, repents, and returns to God, mirroring the theme of joy in Jesus' parables of the Lost Sheep and Lost Coin. God delights in redeeming sinners, purchasing them with Christ’s blood, and this joy motivated Jesus to endure the cross (Hebrews 12:2). Believers are called to share in this joy, celebrating salvation rather than responding with the self-righteous resentment of the older brother. Pastor Andrew extends an invitation to repentance and a challenge to join God in His mission of redemption.

And a new heart can ONlY come through Jesus Christ! 2 2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."

  • The Layers of the Lord’s Love | Zechariah 13:1–9 | Pastor Ben Nistor | 02/16/2025

In Zechariah 13:1–9, the LORD lovingly shows his people three layers of his salvation plan. The 'timeline' layer shows that God is working in and throughout history to bring about his plan of salvation. In the 'story-line-of-the-Bible' layer, God is showing how the narrative reaches its peak in Jesus Christ and goes beyond to the final day of judgment. And finally, in the 'Who is God?' layer, God shows rich truths to His people about who He is. Just like life is filled with layers of complexity and beauty, Zechariah 13:1–9 shows the layers of the LORD's love.

  • Amazing Grace and Judgment to Come | Zechariah 12 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 02/09/2025

Zechariah 12 is all about how God’s kingdom will come at great cost to God’s people and their king, BUT the results will be GLORIOUS. God’s people will be saved and cleansed from sin! Israel will experience turmoil and pain, but God will powerfully act to bring salvation. Israel's enemies will attack Jerusalem but God will deliver the city and its inhabitants. Furthermore, God will make his people fiercely victorious, and they will defeat their enemies. And finally, God will cause his people to repent and mourn over what they have done. This passage elicits the question: if God's people were so sinful, why would he save them? The answer is surprising.

  • Bad Shepherds, Hard Hearts, Cannibal Conditions | Zechariah 11:1–17 | 2/2/2025

We continue our study in Zechariah by looking at Zechariah 11:1-17. In this passage, we see several prominent themes. Some of the important themes are that God rules supreme over the wicked and the righteous of every age. God reveals His will and fulfills His purpose to His true people. Everyone is responsible for their own actions in response to God’s Word. Whenever people persist in rebellion they pay a very heavy price. Generally speaking, a nation’s leaders reflect a nation’s people.

Ultimately, we see that we MUST keep in mind God’s GRAND PLAN of salvation for His people.

  • Living Wise in 2025: On to Maturity! | Ephesians 4:11–16 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 1/26/2025

Ephesians 4:11–16 is all about growing in maturity. Each verse contains a statement about the importance of the church's growth. Without growth, a church is vulnerable and susceptible to errant teaching, bad leaders, and immaturity. God gave the church shepherds and teachers to guard and protect its maturity. Christian service and ministry work contributes directly to spiritual maturity. Pastor Andrew called the church to start serving, learning and praying. Only when a church is working hard

  • Live Wise in 2025, Part Two | Ephesians 5:15-21 | Pastor Andrew Coleman | 1/19/2025

In this sermon, Pastor Andrew Coleman encourages us from Ephesians 5: 15-21. We see the admonition to "Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise" (Eph. 5:15). What does it mean to walk in wisdom? Ephesians 5:17 answers that question by telling us it is to "understand what the will of the Lord is". This passage continues to outline several specific ways for believers to walk in wisdom toward the Lord, both in their private lives and also their public witness.

  • The World’s Greatest Problem | Romans 3:9–18 | Dr. Paul Chitwood | International Mission Board

International Mission Board president, Dr. Paul Chitwood, shares the World's greatest problem. In Romans 3:9–18, Paul explains that lostness is the World's biggest problem, because all have sinned against God. Lostness is an eternal problem and a universal one. The only solution to lostness is the gospel of Jesus Christ. From the beginning of time, each person is marked by the sting of the serpent, the sting of death. Jesus Christ reverses the sting of death when he was lifted up on the cross. All who place their trust in him by repenting of their sins will have eternal life.
