Love is a choice. Hate is a choice. Bad behaviors and attitudes are a choice and many people today are making the choice to act out in negative ways just because they can. Some would argue that people who do these things have trauma, issues, past hurts... maybe that's true, but we all have those things. Yet, some of us choose love instead. There are so many ways to show love to others and I believe that if more people chose love, the world would be such a better place. 

So much of where we are in the world and as humans is due to a lack of a willingness, or a know-how to love. As with anything else that we need in life, praying for what we need is a part of the solution. If you are struggling to feel loved, remember that God loves you. If you are struggling to love others, remember how God loves you. If you are struggling to love the world because of all of it's negativity, remember how God loves you. To help you and me to remember that no material possessions or worldly gains can go with us into eternity, but that love lasts forever... here is a prayer for love. I pray it touches your heart and allows you to feel how much you are loved!

It's a new Year and I know we are feeling like we are ready for fresh starts, but wait before you set that resolution or goal. If you're feeling like "finding yourself," is at the top of your list this year, I'd like to make a nother suggestion. I'd like to suggest that you don't need to find yourself because you were never lost! We were all meant to become someone very specific and amazingly great in our own unique way. Unfortunately, none of us are ever fully protected from the grueling fact that the world, full of hurt people who hurt other people, had other plans. 

The good news is that we can truly return to who we were meant to be! It's not easy, and their is always opposition, but you can do it! Listen to this episode, be impacted and inspired!

I grew up in a time where telling somone to "shut up," versing asking them to be quiet was considered cursing them out! It was guaranteed to get you either a fight or a spanking. So, I learned early on not to tell people to shut up! But... the people we're discussing on this episode - well, there's really no better way to address them! They are a threat to our purpose, to our destiny and should be treated in the way a warrior treats all threats! Period!

Ok black people, Derek Chauvin is guilty! I believe he is guilty as well so it's ok that we feel like we've finally gotten some justice. But, now what??? Is that enough for us? Or, should we start looking at self...individually and as a whole culture and decide what we can do to HEAL, HELP, & LOVE ourselves and each other! We say we no longer want or need masters. Now would be a great time to start acting like it because it often seems that good ole Willie Lynch is still working his evil magic on us and we allow it to be. If I'm wrong, let's prove it.

Listen!! I get it, I know I've been talking about healing ALOT! But, the reason is because IT'S TIME! 2021 has to be a time for healing, because if not, we will not be able to survive what's coming!

My calling in life is to help others heal, live, and be about the business of stepping into their very best lives... their very best versions of self. Being Genuine ain't easy! You will be persecuted for it because it's not what the world is used to. But, in order to be your iconic self, your best you, the very best version of you, and who you were created to be, you must become okay with being persecuted. It's a difficult, lonely walk that makes you want to isolate, stay to yourself, and keep all your gifts for the world to yourself... but you can't. You must NOT allow your music to die inside of you simply because others can't handle it! You will overcome the pain because a part of being genuine is being strong enough to handle persecution! You Got This!
