The Shining Wizards

It's HK, Brundo, and Tony talking everything wrestling.

First, Tony mentions the passing of long-time friend and the original Wizards guest Jaka aka Jonny Mangue. He reminisces for a bit and the guys give Jaka a moment of silence. A great guy gone way too soon.

Then there's a bit of Smackdown discussion and the Sami Zayn/John Cena match as well as the return of AJ Lee.

Brian Solomon, author of the upcoming book about Gorilla Monsoon, returns to the show to discuss how he chose to write about Gorilla, some of the inside stories about the Vince McMahon takeover of the WWF, what Gorilla's favorite meal was, and so much more.

Talk turns to AEW and HK gets a moonstem over the return of Dalton Castle. Brundo also gets a moonstem with a cheeseburger for the inevitable return of Eddie Kingston and the upcoming ppv build.

Finally, it's homework time as the guys discuss ECW's Guilty As Charged 2000 main event where ECW Champion Mike Awesome defends against Spike Dudley. Is the streak still alive after this one?

HK then assigns next week's homework, Claudio Castagnoli vs Brodie Lee from Chikara September 7, 2008.

Remember to subscribe, rate and review.

The guys are LIVE in Studio A with friend of the show TropicAl from the TOTS Pod. They discuss the annual BBQ, AEW Forbidden Door, NXT Heatwave, champions getting pregnant... but it's mostly inappropriate jokes and fun stories. Uggggh yeah?

Kate from Fightful joins the show to talk MJF, AEW & Forbidden Door.

The crew covers AEW, WWE, Triplemania, NJPW, & much more. Plus we talk about last week's homework & Brian Knobbs.

No homework next week as we are in Studio A

On this episode of the Shining Wizards Podcast

Matt voices his frustration on the recent run of guests canceling last minute.

We dive into some WWE talk as the huge news of ESPN + getting WWE PLE's for $30 a month. We talk about how it will effect our viewing, what It means for Peacock subscribers & if HK should get a VPN.

We talk of John Cena's last tour and why it's Logan Paul as his Clash in Paris opponent & talk of the Karrion Kross news. Is it a work? Are we upset?

Back from the break we plug the Street Team, talk about a crazy Tiffany Stratton road rage incident before heading into some AEW talk.

Matt & Brundo loved Dynamite, did HK come back to watch this week? Find out if he did.

We talk about the unfortunate Jonathan Gresham news and have a pretty serious talk about Joey Ryan.

Then it's on to HK's homework as we go back to Jerry Lynn's last match. Early indications suggest our run of good Homework assignments is coming to an end, but once the facts are laid out on the table, it changes things quiet a bit.

Tony didn't know he was up for homework so he scrambles to find us something & drops 2006 New Years Resolution Bra & Panty Match in our laps

We end the show with a story about a Wizard who had to reset the clock.

The Shining Wizards return with a jam packed show

The boys do a little catching up before they are joined by the newest member of the Shining Wizards Guest spots. Juice Springsteen from the Juice Box joins the boys to talk about Goldberg, WCW Bash at the Beach 1995, wrestling in the rain & AJ Styles at TNA Slammiversary

Matt has to reset his internet before coming back to talk TNA Slammiversary with the boys. The best word to describe the PPV would be disappointing. HK doesn't understand the whole Long Island/New York thing & we may have turned in the worst picks in the history of the Shining Wizards.

Back from the break we run down the SummerSlam matches and the return of Roman Reigns. Talk a little bit about AEW and the fall out from All In.

We move onto Tony's homework from last week & give our thoughts on AWA Super Sunday Hulk Hogan challenging Nick Bockwinkel for the AWA Title, and Matt assigns the group some homework as we go back to November 1994, Clash of the Champions 29 for Vader vs Dustin Rhodes.

The Shining Wizards return to cover a huge week in pro wrestling.

There is a bit of a snag with the Death Pool as someone picked someone who apparently has been dead for 8 years.

We talk some AEW All In Texas & a little bit of ROH Supercard of Honor. Overall Matt enjoyed what he watched (he didn't see everything) & we ponder if HK would have enjoyed any of it.

We are then joined by the Stiff Robo Ginger Gary Jay. We get to the root of his nickname, talk about Cats, Robocop, Home Alone, Owls, & so much more. There's a bit of a connection issue, but it's a fine interview & great chat with Gary.

Back from break we talk about the weekend WWE had. Covering everything from NXT, Saturday Night's Main Event and Evolution.

We sprinkle in a preview of the TNA PPV this weekend before jumping into last week's homework.

We go back to ECW July 11, 2006 for Big Show vs Ric Flair in an Extreme Rules Match. Find out how the boys felt about this match.

Back from the break we plug the Shining Wizards Street Team @WizardsStreet before previewing the big weekend ahead for the WWE. We preview NXT Great American Bash, Saturday Night's Main Event & Evolution

We attempt to discuss the John Cena heel turn in relation to the Hulk Hogan heel turn as this is the date it happened 29 years ago & well......

Then its on to Homework as we go back to Halloween Havoc 1998 for Goldberg vs DDP. One of the Wizards hates this match & we try & dig into why. Plus HK assigns us next week's homework as we go back to ECW on Sci Fi Episode 5, Ric Flair vs Big Show.

We end with some ideas for the Wizards Street Team

It's a fun show & you should of course Subscribe & Leave us a review wherever you listen to the show.
