Amazing book
Reading this book I know a lot more about heaven than I ever did before. The book describes step by step what happens from the moment of death as a person progress in stages towards heaven. At the first stage angels come to take souls and they have something similar to a near-death experience. They're given a glimpse of heaven and then they're put to sleep. Then they wake up on the day of resurrection thinking that they've slept for only a few hours. Then judgement takes place and people are transferred to heaven. The book gives more details about heaven than any other single source that I can think of. What our bodies will be like, what we will eat and drink, what clothes we will wear etc. The geography and climate of heaven is described. The pebbles on the ground will be precious jewels, enormous houses will be carved out of a single pearl. There will be a marketplace with angels handing out free presents. But the greatest happiness will come from meeting God regularly. If you read only one book about heaven read this one.
Beyond the NDE
Books about near death experiences have become very popular recently and they describe very beautiful visions of heaven. This book is about what happens afterwards if a person had actually died instead of returning. According to Kauser people who have recently died are shown visions of heaven or hell but they will enter the real heaven only after physical resurrection and judgement.
Even though this book is based on ancient Islamic sources hereâs a lot of similarity with NDE descriptions of heaven. Peopleâs ages will be 30 years old, cities with streets paved with gold, the ground littered with jewels etc.
People who have NDEs are those who have not really died. This book is about what happens to people who have actually died.

This book enlightened me on so many levels and helped streamline so many of my previous perceptions about the concept of Heaven in Islam. And the best thing about this book is that the author Saeed Kausar has done a remarkable job of researching and including all the exact reference numbers of all the Hadith he has quoted in the book. Good job Sir!
This book should be advertised more so more people get to know about it and read it. I just happened to come across it while researching for my thesis paper and decided to order it because of the unique and compelling subject matter. And believe me I was not disappointed.

A great read for understanding of Islamic principles and giving one a clear view of faith Our spiritual views of the hereafter and meaning of being. I found the writing style very clear with endnotes and bibliography to give the reader a great access to further reading and research. The book provides a great background and would be a nice addition to any collage religious studies course.
