It's that time of the year again boys. Time to look back on the past year and see what we loved, hated, and how to grow from these experiences, at least that's what we should be doing. You all know the drill by now. Here at the Side Quest, we are known to go on a tangent or two and you see that with the lengthy Star Wars discussion that pushed the podcast run time to two and a half hours. But that's why you love us. We've got a lot more content planned fo you guys this year so stay tuned and thanks for giving us your time. 

After some time, away and Luke not editing the last episode on time, The Side Quest is back. Bj, Matt, and Luke talk about Christmas, New Year, and sickness, and we get emotional with Matt. It's good to be back.

Two episodes in a row with no Matt. You know that means we've got to talk about some more Yakuza. Don't worry though, that isn't until the end. Until then Bj and Luke will go off on plenty of tangents involving Final fantasy, anime, and the like.

Matt has left us to spend time with his family for Christmas. So BJ and I have the place to ourselves. Now we can spoil Yakuza and Matt won't beat us. Plus Sonic Prime has been released and we've got some positive things to say. 

We're finally done with this year's gaming events. To end it all, Geoff Keyley came in swinging with this year's Game Awards. This one didn't feel as long compared to last year's show. The announcements were plentiful, and the awards were snappy and fast. 

Back from a long week of work, and we catch up on our weekly vices. How did covid-19 impact us, it did? Matt gets into his lost favorite indie game, RimWorld? Luke has finished the broken and unplayable pokemon games. And BJ is still on that Yakuza train. CHOO CHOO. Another week with your boys.

Matt's gone. He left us to spend time with his family for Thanksgiving. So it's back to the basics with Bj and Luke. A little throwback for yall. This episode focuses on Sega's two flagship titles. Sonic Frontiers has come out and blown most people away' at least if you're a sonic fan. Frontiers marks the newest direction for the next era of sonic and we are hype. Bj has been all in on Yakuza with his start in Yakuza Kiwami 2. A step up for the series in more ways than one. New engine, new threats, and secret Koreans.

For the first time, we have a guest who knows the ins and outs of game development. Welcome Jack Burrows to the show. Long time friend of Matt, Jack joins us to talk about everything we can about games. Dead Space and the quality of the remake. Ratchet & Clank and how they've fallen. Jack also gives a very passionate speech about what games mean for him, and what he wants to do with that passion. This is a big one. Arguably our best Podcast to date. 

Man, Dune kinda sucks doesn't it? What a waste of film. Nothing but bright white and sand. No substance whatsoever. It's almost as bad as Xenoblade 3. Honestly its wild to think that there are Neanderthals out there who can stomach the atrocious writing and characters. Also can we all be honest with ourselves? Nipple piercings are kinda wack.
