Tommy Tam is an incredible muralist that has been painting the wall at the Wah Lum Temple.  We have named it “The Great Wall of Wah Lum”.  He is incredibly talented and chooses the tool of spray can over paintbrush.  We chat all about graffiti, street art, and murals.

Fair Warning: There may be some 80s flashbacks in this episode.  Hip-hop culture is defined by four key stylistic elements: MCing/rapping, DJing/scratching with turntables, break dancing, and graffiti writing.

A few weeks ago I interviewed DJ Mike Relm, and have often discussed hip-hop on the show with Adisa Banjoko.  Today, I explore the graffiti writing element with Tommy, who has painted worldwide.  He also discusses the evolution of the art over the decades.

Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans.  I am proud to be an American and am in awe of all those who serve in our military.  Today, I introduce you to Don Andrews.

Don Andrews served as a Regional Marine Officer during the Vietnam War.  At the youthful age of 82, he shares his accounts of the uniqueness of his position and his war experience.

I am honored that Don took the time to chat with me.  I learned so much from his stories and am grateful for the opportunity to take a moment to reflect on the selflessness of all who serve.  Don and I start our chat with him showing me his passports – which were incredibly unusual – and he even shares some ghost stories!

Many of you follow my blog, in which I wrote about our Forty Fit-fu live streams on Facebook.  Oscar and I chat for about 15-20 minutes on a subject that involves keeping fit for the 40+++ crowd, especially for kung fu.
