You may already know Megan Vena from her first conversation with Maurice on The Silent Majority Media. Now, she’s joining us for a new weekly episode of her own.

Megan is an Irish energy and somatic healing practitioner and content creator, with a professional background in special education and children’s residential care.

Her work today centres around energy healing, the body and spirituality, but the conversations here will go much further.

Each week, Megan will explore everything from spirituality, God and healing to relationships, modern dating, social media, influencers, grief, womanhood, identity and Ireland, including the conversations people are often thinking about but not necessarily saying out loud.

This isn’t about telling anyone what to believe. Megan is deeply spiritual herself, while also being willing to question her own beliefs and the wider healing and wellness world.

Expect curiosity, humour, uncomfortable questions and plenty of nuance, particularly around the gap between what we say we embody and how we actually live.

This week on The Silent Majority Media, Maurice sits down with Maria Phelan of Laois Organic to talk about her journey from a 16-year career in finance to building a life in farming.

Based in Co. Laois, Maria has been certified organic for 16 years across dairy, beef and tillage. She is now one of only around 80 certified organic dairy farmers in Ireland and the only female farmer in Ireland running a certified organic robotic dairy system, calving year-round to help meet the growing demand for organic milk.

In Part 1, Maurice and Maria talk about her move from finance into farming, how Laois Organic has developed, organic dairy production and the realities of doing things differently in Irish agriculture.

What does it take to build a six-figure business in your twenties, and then design it so you can run it from anywhere in the world?

In Part 1, Catherine sits down with 26-year-old entrepreneur and digital nomad Niall Carey from Westmeath.

Niall’s entrepreneurial journey started at just 19 while studying at university, when he became the top-performing Amazon Prime Student affiliate in Ireland and the UK. From there, he moved into digital marketing, built a social media agency specialising in the fitness industry and, at 22, took a major gamble by investing in a Rugbytots franchise.

That gamble paid off. Niall went on to grow the business while working with gyms on content, advertising, email marketing and sales strategy, before taking on the role of Head of Sales & Marketing with Ger Conroy Fitness.

But at 23, Niall made another big decision. After travelling through Southeast Asia with friends, he returned home questioning whether he wanted to go back into employment or build a completely different life.

He chose the latter.

Today, Niall runs his business remotely from his laptop and phone and has travelled to 33 countries in just three years, including across Southeast Asia, South America and Southern Africa.

We talk about where his entrepreneurial mindset came from, taking risks at a young age, building businesses from scratch, travel and the decision to create a life that didn’t tie him to one location.
