We look at the life of Moses to see the difference between working for God in the flesh versus doing his work by his Spirit. One way brings death and defeat; the other brings life and freedom. One way brings glory to ourselves and the other brings glory to God.
God has a Promise Land for every Christian. We need to know how to obtain it, and we can't do that if we're still living in Egypt. We have to know what our Promise Land is, and we have to know how to enter it and conquer it.
We look at the role of women in God's Kingdom, so that we can better answer the question of the role of women in God's Church. This helps us to better translate some confusing passages in 1 Cor 14:34 and 1 Tim 2:11-12.
There are two times in the Gospel where Jesus outwardly wept. He is fully God yet he is also fully man, and, as a man, exuded human emotion as well. So then, what two things made Jesus weep?
There are two prominent idols in the Church: Sermons & Pulpits. They came to be from the traditions of men, and we perpetuate them week in and week out. We need to confront these idols in our congregations and repent.
We continue our discussion regarding the Law of Precedence in Scripture, and today we take a look at the following areas:
God's Word has within in it precedents by which we can understand and obey God's will. We can look in Scripture to discern God's heart and intention for all things pertaining to our life and see how he first set them up. Today we look at three areas: stewardship, marriage and worship.
The book of Revelation shows us God's will for his people, for the Church, when it comes to operating our services, and that is to have Jesus at the center. We examine 1 Corinthians 14 in light of God's will.
We've created an unnecessary dichotomy in the Church by creating this concept of "missionaries." God has already told us that we are his Sons, and we need to hold to his Word, not create something new.
God has given gifts to the Church to help us. The Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit have given us gifts separately but equally to help us. We need to understand what those gifts are, and to see what place they have in our lives and in the Church.
