This episode is all about how to fall back in love with your body. It comes at a crucial time of year; the summer months of sunshine, community swimming pools and trips to the beach. Praise Jesus! But, for some of us, the very thought sends us into a tailspin… "Holy crap, I've got to strip down to skivvies and put on a swimsuit. UGH."
If this is you, I want you to know… you're not alone. I've battled with truly loving and accepting my body for as long as I can remember. And so, I figured, "No time like the present!" to hash up this old story, break it down and start to heal by simplifying it.
My special guest today is simplifying how to fall back in love with your body. She's the co-founder and CEO of barre3, which has over 140 studios around the world. This movement is radically changing how women experience fitness and wellness.
Sadie Lincoln simplifies how to fall back in love with your body In this episode, you will learn:I promise you that my conversation with Sadie today goes deep. As your guide, I'll ask the questions you might be feeling in your heart right now. Together, we can heal.

Today, I'll answer a listener question about pricing. Callie in Amsterdam asked "When should you raise your prices?"
Excellent question, Callie and thanks for leaving us a voicemail.
In light of my conversation with Certified Financial Planner Lisa Linfield earlier this week, there is a simple answer to this.
There are a few key questions you need to ponder before raising your rates. This applies if you're an event planner, a photographer, a graphic designer, or if you're in a different industry.
Let's simplify this topic using 3 simple questions...
When you should raise your prices 1. What is the market doing?2. Are you ready to step up your game?
3. How are you going to roll this out?
If you follow my three simple suggestions, you'll save yourself a world of hurt, doubt, and unnecessary back and forth. Because when you jeopardize the two critical pillars of trust and respect, you stand to lose everything.
You can do this, I believe in you.

It's all about money. Brick by brick, we will talk about how to reach financial freedom. We'll bash down the walls and the stigma against openly talking about our money, educating ourselves as leaders in our industries, and simplifying things once and for all.
This conversation builds on the recent podcast episode, where we talked all about money with Hilary Hendershott.
My special guest today is a board Certified Financial Planner, who will be sharing a few simple, practical tips that you can test out today in your work and in your life.
Let's have an open, honest conversation today about money. You in?

Today's topic is how to recover when someone says NO to you. Ugh, rejection is the absolute worst! Especially when you've put yourself out there and the other party says, "Nah, no thanks, not interested."
Let's break that all down, diffuse the fear in it and simplify how to bounce back.
Earlier this week, I spoke with event designer, Kristin Banta. Kristin shared her insight on how to take calculated risks in creative design, and in your business. If you take a listen to this one, it may inspire you to take action and think outside the box.
So, you put yourself out there. You pitched a big client. Asked for the meeting. Sent that big, scary email. Made that cold call. You asked for the sale. Took the risk… and the response was… well... not what you expected.
Listen in to get the details on these 3 steps to take when someone says no:
1. Define 'rejection'2. Embrace the 'butt hurt' moment
3. Dust yourself off
You are going to be fine. Life is going to keep ticking on. And you are exactly where you're supposed to be right here, right now.

Even if you wouldn't call yourself super 'creative', you can learn how and when to take risks in business to create connections with your clients. Let's talk how to take risks in creative design.
Would you consider yourself a risk-taker? Someone who pushes the envelope, a natural innovator and disruptor in your industry? Or maybe you're someone who has a keen eye for what's wrong in the world and passionate about fixing it?
I know you'll glean a few ideas from today's conversation. Settle down for an episode that'll inspire your work, and help you decide what to pitch to your clients next.
My special guest today is a super successful and innovative celebrity event planner.
Kristin Banta simplifies how to take risks in creative design. In this episode, you will learn:
You may not realize this about me… but before I was a business coach and podcaster, I was an event planner. I produced non-traditional, large-scale events for 12 years in my career. So, whenever I get the chance to sit down with my clients, like Kristin and talk (event) shop, I just absolutely LOVE it.
Hear me geek-out with Kristin, an absolute innovator and disruptor in the live events industry. Kristin is working behind-the-scenes on some of the biggest movie studio premiere after-parties and brand activations out there. Who knows, maybe you'll see her design work at Coachella, SXSW or on the runway in the year ahead.

I want to help you uncover if choosing 'first class' self-care could make all the difference to how you feel. Every single day. To find out, you just need to answer 3 simple questions...
As you may know, I get the opportunity to do quite a bit of travel with my work as a public speaker and business coach. I love exploring a new city, finding the sunshine and meeting new people. Heck, when I'm on the road, even the tiny bottles of shampoo spark a bit of joy in me (a la Marie Kondo style).
In light of my recent conversation with financial advisor, Hilary Hendershott, I'm finding quite a few parallels to how I travel and how I practice self-care. Which makes me ponder…
Here are 3 questions to see if first class self-care could make the difference to you.
3 questions to uncover if first class self-care is the way forward 1. When is it better to travel first class vs basic economy?2. What am I telling my psyche, when I travel cheap?
3. How important is the experience vs. what you get for the money spent?
And the best part is… we all benefit from you upgrading your self-care practice and your life.
So, go for it.
You belong.
You can do this, I believe in you.

Alright ladies and gents… it's time to start simplifying money. More specifically, let's talk about how to save for retirement, especially if you're self-employed like me. My special guest today is a Certified Financial Planner.
Hilary Hendershott simplifies how to save for retirement when you're self-employed.
In this episode, you will learn: • The best way to pay yourself, considering the pros and cons of being on payroll vs. taking owner's draw • The different retirement account options that are available to you now ◦ How to decide what is right for you and your business • The best time to start saving ◦ Is there a 'right' age, or stage of your business? • How much you should save every month/quarter/year • How to save for retirement now, and still pay the bills
I'll be the first to admit - I don't have it all figured out myself, in this arena either. So, know that I was feverishly taking notes throughout this entire episode, as I'm sure you will be too. Grab a pen and paper!
Whatever you do, pinky promise you won't throw your arms up and hit pause on your podcast player while listening to this one.
I made sure Hilary simplified the technical jargon, making it easy to understand. It means you can create saving systems in your work and in your life, starting today.

Today, I am switching gears a bit and want to give you a little pep talk, just from me to you. If ever you're feeling overwhelmed or losing your drive... or just need your own personal undercover superhero to cheer you on, play this one over and over again and let my words wash over you.
You are brilliant.
You've got this.
What you do in the world, matters.
Your clients appreciate you.
Your colleagues value your expert insight and lean on you because they know you're reliable.
Your family loves you… no matter what.
When you feel down and out, know this… it's not sustainable to give 110% day in and day out. Even superheroes (like you) need rest and recovery. Even leaders like you have down days and struggle to put one foot in front of the other.
Or feel a bit foggy.
Groggy.
Bleh.
And they question themselves, their ability and the Universe around them.
But do you want to hear the good news?
You are not alone.
You are fully supported right here and right now, in this moment.
The answer you seek is a 7-minute timer away. Just give yourself permission to journal it out, get it on paper and process whatever is blocking you from making progress.
Your foundation is strong… even if it feels like you're changing the tires on a car moving 90 miles per hour. You're resilient and you've survived greater challenges than this.
So whatever lies ahead of you now - it doesn't stand a chance up against you, your great big heart and unflappable courage.
Breathe in grace. Breathe out hot mess.
You're on the right path and you're filled with unlimited potential. Believe that.
Tap in to this wisdom and take the very next step.
You can do this, I believe in you.

I've learned a lot from Brené Brown. Today, I'll share the top 5 lessons from Brené's speech at the Mom 2.0 Summit 2019.
What an incredible conference!
If you're a content creator of any sort (blogging, podcasting, vlogger or otherwise), you'll definitely want to put this one on your radar for 2020.
I have to admit a little bit of a secret… my inner 8 year old self was a bit scared to be there.
I was invited to speak on a panel, sharing what I know about podcasting. That part wasn't the scary bit. Instead, it was the fear that "I don't belong here."
I wouldn't call myself a 'Mommy Blogger' - (prior to attending the conference). The phrase alone made me shudder a bit.
I was afraid I wouldn't fit in; I wasn't wearing the right clothes, my selfie game was the equal to my 3rd grade school photo, I would stick out like a sore thumb.
The good news - I was flat out WRONG.
And one of my favorite bits of the conference was when Brené Brown was on stage.
Listen in to get all of the details of:
My top 5 lessons learned from Brené at Mom 2.0 Summit 1. You belong 2. Be brave 3. "Everything is a debit or a credit" 4. "Expectations are resentments waiting to happen" 5. The 5-C's in decision makingYou can do this, I believe in you.
