The Simpsons Then & Now

Lindsay and Alex have emerged from the haze that accompanied their Treehouse of Horror viewing and are ready for more pairings! This week, they're joined by Grace Leeder (@hifromGrace), host of the "Hold Up!" podcast to talk about how the show does in its handling of two episodes featuring gay characters: Homer's Phobia (S08E15) and The Burns Cage (S27E17). Presumably because of the agony of the previous week, we go off the rails in spectacular fashion, discussing everything from our theatrical backgrounds (or lack thereof) to Canadian Legions to the best barnyard animal.

Every week, Alex and Lindsay are diving into two episodes of The Simpsons, one classic episode, and one from the modern era.

It's time for our Halloween special! After promising to watch all 90 existing Treehouse of Horror segments, Alex and Lindsay are back, beleaguered and horrified by what they've seen. After a couple of false starts, they've ultimately settled on breaking down just two episodes, true to format. It's the best of the best: Treehouse of Horror V (S06E06) and the absolute worst of the worst: Treehouse of Horror XXII (S23E03).

Every week, Alex and Lindsay are diving into two episodes of The Simpsons, one classic episode, and one from the modern era.
