When it comes to can’t-live-without Canadian rockers — let alone female ones — you’d be hard pressed to find a list that doesn’t include Bif Naked.

Bif Naked embodies the phrase “lived to tell the tale” and makes for a fascinating interview: orphaned, “empowered”, and “inspired” are just some of the reasons.  Bif Naked transcended adversity to become one of the world’s most unique, creative and adored icons.

 Solo albums include the self-titled album, Bif Naked, released in 1996, I Bificus in 1998 and Purge, released in 2001. A noted poet, she has also released a spoken word album called Okenspay Ordway: Things I Forgot To Tell Mommy. In 2005, after narrowing it down from over fifty songs, she released Superbeautifulmonster, which featured thirteen tracks. The Promise, which was recorded while Bif was undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer, was released in 2009 and was dedicated to her fans. The album featured tracks mixed by Juno Award winner Mike Fraser. In 2011, after doing acoustic sets on tour, Bif released an acoustic record on Her Royal Majesty's Records late-2013, featuring acoustic versions of her past songs as well as four previously unreleased tracks. The Box is a Canadian new wave group from Montreal. Founded in 1981, they achieved commercial success in Canada, recording four charting albums and 10 charting singles between 1984 and 1990. The group broke up in 1992, but a new lineup of the band was founded in 2005. This iteration of the group has released three further albums.

The voice of one of Canada's top touring folk artists has been silent for a while. Having earned three Juno Awards, four Canadian Folk Music Awards, a SOCAN Folk Music Award, and three critics’ Album of the Year awards from the Canadian folk magazine Penguin Eggs, this "latter-day Canadian poet laureate." (Greg Quill, the Toronto Star) has withdrawn from the folk circuit to rest and rehabilitate.

Like so many other hard-touring artists – Adele, Celine Dion, Shania Twain and Blue Rodeo's Jim Cuddy among them – David is facing challenges with his singing voice resulting from years of heavy touring. David gradually developed a hoarseness making it increasingly difficult for him to project in concert.

"I worked construction for twenty years. It took its toll. Then I toured continuously with my music for twenty more. This too takes a toll”, David remarked.

While he still had a voice, Francey gathered his favourite musicians and recorded his latest album, The Broken Heart of Everything.

David Francey’s new album showcases his extraordinary skill as a lyricist. His so-good-they-could-be-traditional melodies, and themes of the camaraderie of small-town life, the drudgery of the daily grind, the pride in an honest day’s work, the sadness of losing loved ones, the joy of close family connections, and the quiet strength of mature love have struck a chord with audiences around the world.

The Lifers, led by sisters Liv and Anita Cazzola, are an art- folk/rock collective from Guelph, Ontario. Their intertwined voices dynamically convey vulnerability and strength. Softly plucked strings, accordion swells, and lush cello and upright bass arrangements give way to rip-roaring drums, soaring melodies and overdriven frenetic strums. Their stories juxtapose tenderness and explosive energy, sometimes within a single breath. The Lifers explore notions of home, environment and community, highlighting the beauty, vulnerability and power of nature, challenging both genre and audience. A Juno-nominated recording artist, Micah is also one of Canada’s best-known vocal, performance and career strategy coach and recording artist whose own career has included #1 Billboard hit Welcome To My Head as well as recording and performing internationally with the popular a capella group The Nylons. Micah is currently touring the country with his own solo cabaret show in support of his latest release New York Stories.

Micah's new show, New York Stories, takes you on a musical tour of The Big Apple starting uptown at The Apollo Theatre and The Cotton Club and moving midtown to Time Square & Broadway before landing downtown at Jazz Clubs Birdland and The Blue Note in The Village. The Canadian Jazz crooner will be performing classic songs from legendary New York songwriters like Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Carole King & Burt Bacharach, as well as songs from Micah's critically acclaimed disc New York Stories.

Micah Barnes (born May 30, 1960) is a Canadian pop singer-songwriter. He has performed both as a solo artist and with the bands Loudboy and The Nylons.

Born in Vienna, Barnes is the son of composer, conductor, and jazz drummer Milton Barnes, brother of drummer Daniel Barnes and cellist Ariel Barnes. He attended Oakwood Collegiate Institute in Toronto, and then studied voice with José Hernandez and Bill Vincent, and sang in
