Welcome to Monday Morning Mastery powered by The NEXT Academy - leadership built for contractors. In today's episode we discuss #Disappointment through a story called "The Singing Parakeetš¦"
Disappointment is at the tip of many of our tongues and on the forefront of most of our minds. Weāve had to tell our children that they will miss treasured experiences. Weāve had to tell friends we canāt share in birthday celebrations. Weāve had to tell parents we canāt visit them in the hospitals. Weāve had to deal with loss of income⦠of employmentā¦and in the very worst cases the loss of friends and loved ones - all due to the global pandemic.Ā
Itās never been more important than it is right now to look around you and count your blessings. Even in our most dire times, they are there if you look close enough. I challenge you to not let disappointment fester in your soul, because it will. Look for gratitude in the smallest of blessings. Youāll be surprised even in times like these, when the world feels dark and closing in, you can still hear the birds sing. Let go of expectations. Let go of what was. And deal in the now. Own your current circumstances and move forward. One step at a time.
Thank you so much for your support of these videos and your willingness to share with coworkers, friends and family!
If I can ever help you in any way⦠PLEASE do not hesitate to reach out. Iām always here to help or more importantly find you the necessary resources that are far smarter than I that may be able to help on your personal & professional leadership journey.
Please be safe and smart out there. I look forward to seeing you again next week. Until then attack the week ahead. Own your life and BeNEXT.
