After a long hiatus, I've come up with a new format for the podcast. Yes, we're still going to review obscure cult films and horror films and stuff I like BUT this time we're going to review two per episode. Each week, we (the cohost and I) will surprise one another with a movie neither of us has seen before, and pitch it to the other host. It's going to be a wild ride. This week, special guest co-host and filmmaker Dia Taylor joins me as we talk about Zodiac - David Fincher's 2007 epic take on the true murder case - and Flight of the Intruder (1991) - John Milius' latter day ode to fighter pilots during the Vietnam War. Take a listen to find out not only our opinions but the wacky stories behind both films. The Rules of Attraction by Roger Avary is one of the most innovative, entertaining films of the 21st century. Based on the Bret Easton Ellis novel, the film follows three college burnouts - Sean, Lauren and Paul - as they indulge in sex, drugs and miscommunication. Russ and I had a ball with this one (this film being my favourite) and I'm sure you will, too.

Tonight we delve into the late-night, seamy world of MADE FOR TV HORROR MOVIES with the latest episode, wherein we analyse the chilling A COLD NIGHT'S DEATH (1973) starring Robert Culp and Eli Wallach. It's about two scientists, stranded in an isolated arctic research compound when strange, seemingly paranormal things start happening. Is it ghosts? Goblins? THE THING? Stay tuned and find out.

Russ and I go onto a gonzo journey; a trail to which the likes of Dennis Hopper, Hunter S. Thompson, Tom Wolfe and Joan Didion have travelled upon. Join us as we go across the californian wasteland with the Satan's Sadists (1968), an epic biker movie filled with sex and violence directed by the Schlock Master himself: Al Adamson. This episode is dedicated, as per usual to my good buddy David Konow, who literally wrote the book on Al Adamson.

Tonight we talk with author and filmmaker Andrew J. Rausch about his latest book on Quentin Tarantino's lost first film MY BEST FRIENDS BIRTHDAY; which is coming out just in time for the release of Tarantino's latest film ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD. We also chat about his upcoming book on master cinematographer and director Gary Graver (who has made over 300 movies). Also, we chat about his life as an author and as a cinephile.

In the latest episode, my new co-host Russ and I chat about the semi-giallo, semi-lost, soon-to-be classic THE HOUSE OF THE YELLOW CARPET (1983). A strange horror thriller with overtones of Polanski, it's set in one room (almost), has only four characters (or so), and keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout... but what else did we get from this obscure italian mini-masterpiece?
