  • Steve Hackett Interview
Steve Hackett is renowned as an immensely talented and innovative rock musician. He was lead guitarist with Genesis as part of their classic line up with Gabriel, Collins, Banks and Rutherford, that produced acclaimed albums such as Selling England by the Pound (a favourite of John Lennon). With Steve's extraordinary versatility in both his electric guitar playing and his composing, he involves influences from many genres, including Jazz, World Music and Blues. He is equally adept in his classical albums that include renditions of pieces by composers from Bach to Satie, his own acoustic guitar compositions that have gained the admiration of many, including Yehudi Menuhin, and ambitious guitar/ orchestra albums such as A Midsummer Night's Dream, recorded with the Royal Philharmonic.
With Genesis, Steve's guitar playing produced some of the most memorable moments, from the sensitivity of his acoustic sound on Horizons and Blood on the Rooftopsto the dramatic rock guitar solos of Firth of Fifth and Fountain of Salmacis. As he embarked on his solo career he developed his exceptional range, pushing musical boundaries into exciting areas, inventing new sounds and also techniques such as 'tapping'. His solo career went from strength to strength and the mid eighties not only saw the hit single Cell 151, but also the Steve Hackett and Steve Howe super group GTR, highly successful in America.

  • Tesla's Troy Luccketta Interview
In 1990, Tesla was on the rise as a band, having released two albums and a couple of really cool hits, “Love Song” and “Modern Day Cowboy.” They were very hot on the touring trail, putting on concerts with so much energy and vitality it was knocking fans back in their seats. Tesla stayed grounded and the musicianship was excellent. So it was no wonder that by the end of 1990, they would find themselves shooting towards the top of the music and MTV charts with an acoustic version of an old Five Man Electrical Band song called “Signs.” It was proof that Tesla’s magic lay in being a live band, where they still shine brightest twenty-six years later.
Opening the current Def Leppard tour, Tesla are still earning respect the old fashioned way: with good songs and rock and roll rooted in the blues vs glam. Having that strong rooted base, they have been able to stand up to the test of time, even though they took a break as a band for several years, and as of 2016 are working on new music with Leppard’s Phil Collen aboard as producer. “We’ve done one song already and we’re actually doing it in segments,” Collen told Songfacts earlier this year. “When we’ve got some good songs, we’ll record them, and we’ve got a few on the go already.” Tesla drummer Troy Luccketta reiterated to me that everything was sounding great so far.
Luccketta, who was born and raised in northern California, has been with the band since the beginning so he’s seen the highs, the lows, the struggles and the achievements. “I feel blessed to be thirty years into it and still have a job that I absolutely love,”

  • Warrant Interview
Warrant formed in 1984 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, that experienced success from 1989 to 1996 with five albums reaching international sales of over 10 million. The band first came into the national spotlight with their Double Platinum debut album Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich, and one of its singles, "Heaven," reached No. 1 in Rolling Stone and No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.[4] The band continued its success in the early 1990s with the Double Platinum album Cherry Pie which provided the hit album titled song and music video.
Following the critically acclaimed Gold album Dog Eat Dog the band started to experience frequent changes to the line-up and despite the drop in popularity with the arrival of grunge, they released Ultraphobic in 1995 and a successful best of album in 1996. The band also changed their musical direction with the release of the grunge influenced Belly to Belly in 96, but returned to their roots very quickly by the end of the decade. The band experienced highs and lows in the 2000s with successful tours, a new covers album Under the Influence, lead singer Jani Lane leaving, a brand new Born Again album with new singer Jaime St. James and a brief reunion of the original line up. Into the new decade former lead singer and main songwriter Jani Lane died.
After over 30 years, the band is still recording music and performing, now with ex-Lynch Mob lead vocalist Robert Mason.

  • Pawn Stars, Rick Harrion Interview
Rick Harrison is the genius of Pawn Stars. He worked hard to get the concept of the show to tv and it has produced results no one, even the otherworldly intelligent Rick could have imagined. After spending his childhood years in migraine headaches, dark rooms and his nose in one book after another to dull the pain, his future is brighter than his wife’s diamond ring. Spend just 30 seconds with Rick and you will learn something. He is fiercely loyal, just the friend everyone wants and should have in their lives. He loves his classic rock music and classic movies, as well. Often more like an older brother to Corey than a dad, seeing the two of them together is not only fun but special. His younger son and three stepdaughters have stolen his heart with a second chance at daddy-dom. Arranging for them to meet Justin Bieber and Big Time Rush was a thrill for him.
