This episode features high school coach, 17co Performance Center co-owner, Rex Graves. Coach Jenn, Bryson, Allie and Aaron talk with Rex about his love for baseball and how that loved inspired his son Mavis Graves (2022 MLB Draft Pk) to pour his heart into the game of baseball and now play for the Philadelphia, Phillies.

Coach Graves talked with the crew about his time at Eastside High School, (South Carolina) and some of the amazing talent that has came through his program.

Mer McFadden joins Aaron, Bryson and Allie on The S.L.I.D.E for what is hopefully the first of many interviews. Mer is a key leader for the growth of Women Baseball players. She brings not only knowledge for Women’s Baseball Leagues but for baseball in general.

As a South Carolina bull pen catcher she knows first hand how to handle some of the most difficult pitches to catch. Wicked curve balls and 96 MPH fast balls aren’t for the weak and few would dare to try, but McFadden isn’t of the weak and she’s definitely apart of the few. With Allie Lacey, another pivotal influence in Women’s Baseball helping lead interviews on todays show, after listening, you will all feel better about the future of Women in Baseball for years to come.
