The Smiley Face In The Sky
Today there’s a smiley face in the sky formed by the alignment of certain planets.
It’s cloudy in my town, so I can’t see it… but I know it’s there. The planets are aligned. The smile is real, even if it’s hidden from my eyes.
And I wonder: How many times have we, as parents, smiled at the thought of our children, even when they’re not with us? For parents whose children are far away, or gone, those moments can carry deep emotion.
Sometimes it’s sorrow.
Sometimes it’s longing.
Sometimes it’s a quiet, hopeful prayer.
But what about God the Father? He created the planets. The stars. The moon. The smile in the sky. Could it be that, once again, He is revealing His love? A cosmic reminder that even when we can’t see Him… He sees us. He smiles at the thought of us, and His love is still PERFECTLY aligned with our lives.
And suddenly, today’s smiley face in the sky acquired a totally new connotation.
It's not just an astronomical event, but a divine whisper of connection, affection, and hope.
“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
