The Snark Factor 3 in 3 — Weathermen, Puddles, and Past Decisions

Listen Later

Listen to today’s Snark Factor 3 in 3 in the audio player above.

A winter storm is pushing across the southern United States, and the forecast has officially entered movie-trailer voiceover territory.

Not because of the ice.Not because of the snow.

Because of the weathermen.

Words like “potentially catastrophic,” “historic,” and “life-threatening” are doing a lot of heavy lifting — from the same profession that once promised a light drizzle and delivered airborne patio furniture.

We also take a moment to appreciate Goodwill, which has had to politely ask Americans to stop donating items that are wet, moldy, or mildewy — a sentence that only exists because something absolutely happened.

And if you’re snowed in this weekend staring at a pile of old t-shirts, Good Housekeeping has suggestions.Projects.Crafts.Repurposing.

Adulthood, apparently.
