A winter storm is pushing across the southern United States, and the forecast has officially entered movie-trailer voiceover territory.
Not because of the ice.Not because of the snow.
Because of the weathermen.
Words like “potentially catastrophic,” “historic,” and “life-threatening” are doing a lot of heavy lifting — from the same profession that once promised a light drizzle and delivered airborne patio furniture.
