Manchester City posted a pair of results to put the pressure on Arsenal this week, but the Gunners prevailed in a show-stopping fixture against a Manchester United squad that have been flying high since the World Cup restart. 

Further down the table, Chelsea and Liverpool played to a dull stalemate, and there was another manager casualty from the Premier League weekend.

A pair of massive derby results from the weekend have the PL title fight taking shape. 

Manchester United topped Manchester City 2-1, but not without contraversy, making way for Arsenal to take full control at the top of the table with a dominant performance against Tottenham.
