Professionally, she has been educating people through health, fitness, and wellness programs over the last 13 years. Tonya is a BSN Registered Nurse, a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Specialist and Nationally Certified Life and Health Coach. Tonya believes she has been blessed in all of her experiences for many reasons. Foremost, she believes that she was given the difficult path in order to help others through theirs. She has turned many negative and traumatic experiences into fuel to become more positive, to teach people about love, understanding, and acceptance. Her goal was to not become a statistic of her circumstances and now to teach and empower others to do the same. In 2014, she founded a non-profit organization called MY Mobile Health in her grandmother’s memory (MY is more than just taking your own health into your own hands).=Tonya has made (and kept) a promise to her grandmother to continue to fight for those who do not have a voice in our healthcare system. She is also a published author of ?“101 Life Lessons: Things I Want My Children to Learn the Not-So-Hard Way” and “Lessons? in Love: The Ebb and Flow of Intimacy”. ? As a registered nurse by trade, she is still in the community providing care for clients in the privacy of their own homes. She also engages in the community by impacting people as a public servant in a holistic way through speaking engagements, MY Mobile Health sponsored health and wellness events, kids camps, homeless shelters, sporting events and other community initiatives
