I’m a 20-year-old college student from Woodhaven, Michigan. I attend Central Michigan University where I study exercise science, write blogs and books, and co-host a podcast. I thoroughly enjoy the fields of personal development, behavioral psychology, exercise physiology, and performance psychology. Growing up, I played sports, got good grades, and did very little to expand my knowledge and experiences. In college, I quickly recognized that there was much more to life than the hum-drum routines that we customarily get caught up in. I was tired of waking up, going to class, doing homework, and going to bed just to repeat it all over again the next day.
At 19 years old, I decided that despite hating every minute of English classes in high school and college, I LOVED writing. I also happened to love leadership and the helper’s high that I felt when I gave back to others. I quickly put those three things together and began writing a book. It sucked. So I wrote a different one. That sucked too. Finally, I started writing one that felt just right. I knew that people gave too many shits about things that didn’t matter, and far too few about what truly makes a life fulfilling. Hundreds of hours of reading, researching, listening to podcasts, and writing later, my first book, Selective and Powerful Thinking: A Down-to-Earth Approach for Caring About Sh!t That Matters.
