Once upon a time, women depended on their spouse for just about everything. Imagine having to ask your husband for money for feminine products every month. Women are working, achieving and in some cases earning more than their counterparts which created my curiosity in: How do you as a woman feel about making more money than your spouse?

October 10 was World Mental Health Day but mental health is a daily life struggle for many people. According to the Office of Minority Mental Health, African Americans are 20% more likely to struggle with mental illness and we are least likely to seek help. Whether it’s lack of resources, fear, being label or other factors. Mental Health is deemed taboo in our community. Tahir and I discuss mental health in our community, seeking help and support through each other and professionals. Check out Tahir’s nonprofit, Uplift4Men.org.
