Kelpie Wilson is a mechanical engineer and analyst with

energy, sustainable forestry, and resource conservation.

since 2008 and was a founding board member of the US

in the Woods network to promote biochar production in

Kelpie researches and teaches techniques for making

landscapes. She presents many biochar workshops each year

and landowners and sells her Ring of Fire Biochar Kilns

lives in rural Oregon, where she makes biochar compost

garden that feeds two families.
