An Excellent Read With Eye Opening Detail!
The Somali Doctrine is a well written, moving story that rings so true to anyone reading that has worked in the business either directly or while working within the environment of a country where Humanitarian NGOs operate. A must read is the Authors' notes at the end as it shed further light on the story. While it is "fiction" some of the story is based on real occurrences! If you have any interest in humanitarian aid as it is currently being delivered then this may be an eye opener for you! Well worth a read.

kattywatty
I have found me a new author. Loved this book. Fast pace, non stop action. Can't understand how people can be so beaten up and then keep on going like that legendary bunny. But, since I don't write and have never been in those situations, what do I know. Great read. But, "Black Coke" was even better. Read both.
Good yarn
An interesting story where the characters were well developed and the plot kept the reader turning the pages. I would recommend.
Repetitive, Dastardly
The ideas and energy going into this book were probably not very good to begin with. Too bad the author waits till half way through this so so book to spit his vitriol toward the political right. Would have turned me off if he did it to the left as well.
Actually it wasn't even " so so." It was ridiculously easy to know what happens well before the action takes place. Oh and the action I speak of is your typical third grade style of writing on fighting. Can't believe I finished this, thank God, hope that g word offends Mr Grenton, I got this for free.
