  • Beautiful Memories of Mike Stewart’s Christmas in Bristol & Nashville Tenn 1954 and Now!
    This is my 10th year of posting a Christmas video and after moving to Nashville this year, I forgot I wrote a Christmas song in 1983 with Atlanta country legend Freddy Weller, my studio partner at the time Danny Jones and R & B Legend Brook Benton recorded it. Being around songwriter friends and in Nashville these days reminded me to look at my songs I wrote over the years. MikeStewartSongs.com if you want to hear more  Watch the video to get the password!
    In the past, I would do a public domain Christmas song, but this year I made a video with images that were the inspiration when I wrote the song in my studio over 30 years. I also included for your enjoyment the  download the country version I did and lyrics to the song as well. So Merry Christmas and here’s to an awesome 2017!

    Beautiful Memories of Christmas
    Written by Mike Stewart, Freddy Weller, & Danny Jones
    You know, Christmas really is for children, but there’s a little child in all of us.
    This time of year, I get a little sentimental when I think about some of the precious memories
    I had as a child. I’d like to share a few of those memories with you right now.
    Christmas lights shining bright,
    Snow was falling oh but I was warm inside.
    Nose pressed on the store front glass,
    Electric trains,
    Things I thought I couldn’t last till Christmas morning.
    Almost scared to sit on Santa’s knee,
    But you know I had to tell him what to bring to me.
    I guess the favorite times that I had,
    Were decorating the Christmas tree with my mom and dad,
    Oh love them.
    We’ve got beautiful memories of Christmas,
    Memories I’ll always remember,
    Beautiful memories of Christmas.
    Many years have come and gone,
    I’ve grown up and I’ve got children of my own.
    But the thrill of Christmas never dies,
    When you see it through a young child’s eyes,
    Watch them light up on Christmas morning.
    We’ve got beautiful memories of Christmas,
    Memories I’ll always remember,
    Beautiful memories of Christmas.
    Beautiful memories of Christmas.
    Memories I’ll always remember,
    Beautiful memories of Christmas.
    We’ve got beautiful memories of Christmas,
    Memories I’ll always remember,
    Beautiful memories of Christmas.

  • Live Streaming Video Discussion With Daniel Hall
    Embrace Live Video
    My passion is helping the world understand how audio and video is now being transmitted into people’s pockets.  The result that I feel people should take away from this podcast is that getting content to your community and your audience has never been easier or faster.  There’s also never been a bigger reach than there is today.
    You have to understand that when I got my start, there was no Internet to turn to.  We are living in a very exciting time when it comes to communicating with audiences, especially since the principles of television haven’t changed and the production standards haven’t changed.  The pipeline has changed.  Forty years ago, even if you had millions or billions of dollars that it took to pay for the technology and the team you needed to get your message heard around the world, most people wouldn’t even have had the opportunity.  Nowadays, for less than the cost of a few bottles of wine or a trip to a fine restaurant, you could broadcast your content, in high definition, to the world.
    Your message can simply fall into the pockets of individuals who can follow you, like you, trust you, and ultimately, become paying customers of yours.  That’s why it’s an exciting time, and it’s not about just live video either.  It’s just that the makers of this technology, such as Facebook, Periscope, and so forth, all see that this pipeline is the way that human beings should receive the content.  The Principle of Television says that once you have built an audience, then you have the ability to advertise, which in turn results in profits, connections, and business.  You should embrace live video.  It’s a powerful opportunity that is staring people in the face, and yet, most people don’t even realize that it’s there for the taking.
    Implementation Steps
    First and foremost, you need to understand that live video is based around mobile technology (i.e. Smartphones & tablets).  We’ve had online video for over 15 years now, but that required a desktop computer or a laptop.  Today, we have what’s called Smartphones, but let’s call it what it is.  It’s really a computer, but in fact, the Smartphones of today are 10 times more powerful than the computer that got people on the moon.  So, you’re carrying around an extremely potent device in your pocket.
    Step 1 – Download Free Apps
    The very first step that you need to take is to download the free apps that will allow you start practicing. If you’ve never gone live before, this is a big road block.  You have to get over the fact that you’re looking into a camera and talking to people.  You’ll need:

    * Facebook app
    * Facebook Pages Manager app
    * Periscope app
    * Blab app
    * YouTube Connect app

    There are a lot of players in this pipeline, but the principles of television are the same across the board.  In other words, they are the same ones that were started back in the 1940’s, when television became the new pipeline for media and advertising.  The great thing about this is that you no longer have to go out and buy millions of dollars worth of equipment.  You already own it.
    Not only do you have the world’s most incredible camera in your pocket, you’ve got the software given to you by companies like Facebook, YouTube, Google, etc.  So, get started by practicing and getting comfortable about being an expert and an authority in your market so that you can talk into the lens of a camera.  That’s Step #1, and you can start that right now at no cost.  If you are an entrepreneur and you’re not doing this, you’re missing the opportunity of a lifetime.
    Step 2 – Learn the Elements of Television
    Step number two is to learn the elements of television.  Anybody in the world could take a smartphone out of their pocket and start creating a selfie video.  However, to come across as a professional,

  • Facebook Live Production Tips Using Both Cameras on iPhone
    Live video streaming has become a new strategy for social media, traffic and authority online. Meerkat, Periscope and Blab are really great apps that allow smartphones to stream live video to your followers. Some have described it as a TV studio in your pocket to broadcast live to the world.
    In my opinion, now that Facebook Live is being released to everyone as of Dec. 2015, it will quickly be the leader for live streaming for a number of reasons. My favorite feature is the ability to switch cameras while broadcasting live. See my first attempt of this process in my first FB live show now archived on my podcast.
    Here are the items I shared in the video

    Apogee iPhone, iPad Studio Mic

  • Tablet Podcasting Webinar Replay as a Podcast
    One thing you can podcast is your webinar replays. I just did a webinar about podcasting to my audience and recorded the webinar with GoToWebinar.com as a WMV, then converted to MP4 with Camtasia. I could have used Vimeo or YouTube, but I have had and used Camtasia for years. But you need an mp4 to podcast video.
    Then upload the file to Amazon S3, and here it is in my RSS feed as a podcast.
    To see the non podcast replay page go to http://MikeSuggests.com/tp to view too, as other webinar replays are all located at that website. I hope you enjoy and learn things to help your business.
