In honor of the 75th Anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe, The Sons of History are dedicating this month entirely to the Second World War. April is the month of Shakespeare, so The Sons of History decided to end the month on a discussion about history's greatest playwright. Dustin Bass and Alan Wakim sit down with Professor Kari Lee Bush-Hammons, of Sam Houston State  University, to discuss what we should know about William Shakespeare. The United States is considered the most free nation, but are Americans surrendering their rights for the sake of security? Dustin Bass and Alan Wakim discuss how our government has stripped rights away in times of crisis, and rarely, if ever, restored them to their full extent.

The major problems with China go back a couple of generations. After the result of their civil war in 1949, Red China has been a scourge to the free world. The Sons of History discuss how the Communist Party has and continues to ruin this legendary state. Dustin Bass and Alan Wakim discuss the difference between the Republic of China and the People's Republic of China, as well as all the little and big things China continues to do to perpetuate instability in the Asian region, and globally. It may be time to leave China and choose another location as the world's manufacturing hub. Listen to all this, along with the banter that comes with every episode. 

With the coronavirus putting the world on hold, The Sons of History discuss the history of plagues, diseases, and other illnesses that have impacted mankind, going back thousands of years. Is it a time to panic? That remains to be seen. What can be seen is how the world has had to grapple with these types of health problems, and how it appears that it will continue to do so till the end of time (not to be dramatic, of course).

How much do you know about one of the greatest Americans? Frederick Douglass was born a slave and died a statesman. His journey to freedom and his work toward the freedom of others is a story of incredible courage, determination, and grit. It is also an American story that must never be forgotten.
