The spirit of adoption creates genuine affection with the Father, not religious performance to earn God's approval. This teaching exposes the difference between affectation and true affection in sonship. Affectation drives servant consciousness where you perform to be seen and accepted, constantly fearing judgment and rejection. True affection flows from your legal standing as an adopted son who cries 'Abba Father' through the Holy Spirit. This is for you if you've been performing to earn intimacy with God instead of receiving the adoption that makes you inseparable from Him. This is for you if you need to understand that your sonship is permanent, irrevocable, and based on divine decree, not religious duty.
