Now, the only way to tackle this subject is to break it down into multiple stages. Personal trainers who are further into their careers or running their own businesses will clearly have more expenses that need to be taken care of.

So, we created 5 stages of a personal training career and gave our thoughts on where you should put your money at each stage. We kick things off with a new personal trainer who's just getting into working in a gym and we wrap things up with a personal trainer who is beginning to run a big established business with multiple employees and hundreds of clients. 

We have been at every one of these stages with our personal training studio Commence Fitness Personal Training, so we certainly have a good idea of what should be done along this journey. There are many things we've done well in our personal training business and others that we'd do differently this time around.

In this exclusive podcast episode we will be talking about how we coached a client named Becca (not her real name). 

Becca is a 38 year old female who is preparing for a wedding in 4 months and she wants to lose 20 pounds. How do we use our nutrition coaching and personal training skills to help her pull this off? 

Well, of course that's what this episode is all about. Nutrition coaching or working as a nutritionist (legal to use that title in some areas and others not so much) is almost certainly in your scope of practice as a personal trainer. We have a full video that will show the actual nutrition laws coming out this Wednesday. 

That said, once you know what you can legally do as a nutrition coach, you still need to know what works and doesn't with actual people. Of course, you still need to know what is truly in and outside your scope as well. 

Just because you are a nutrition coach does not mean you are an RD or registered dietitian. There is still a big difference between the two. Unfortunately, in the personal training world, for every successful personal trainer, there's probably two who are claiming to be successful but are lying in order to sell you a course, mentorship, etc.

Alexis and I have gone from dead broke to successful in our personal training careers and our studio Commence Fitness Personal Training continues to grow year after year. So, when Coach Arian, a YouTube subscriber asked us what path most successful personal trainers take (close enough to his actual question) we decided to outline the most proven steps.

What's up guys! Jeff from Sorta Healthy here! In this video we're breaking down a very interesting weekend. We we're both at the Growth Summit hosted by Tim Lyons and we joined the Iron Circle which is essentially a mastermind consisting of some of the top personal trainers/personal training studio owners in the country. 

We had many conversations with regular trainers at the Growth Summit, but our conversations with the elite trainers/business owners, the Iron Circle members, really stood out to us. Unfortunately, this is a ton of BS information in the personal training space. Many gurus, or usually trainers who gave up figured out that it's actually more profitable to "mentor" other trainers on how to be successful. All you have to do is sign up for their $3000 course right? Yeah, you all know the type of fitness pro we're talking about.

Anyways, it's always refreshing to see personal trainers who have actually made it and hearing the stories of how they got there. So, if you're a personal trainer trying to advance your career as much as possible, this episode is for you.
