Ugh, I'm so behind on posting mixes on Podomatic. Please note that I'm up to date on Mixcloud if you want to listen to the new mixes (while I catch up here)

Here is my annual lounge music recap from the past year. Usually it's the February mix, but this year I'm a month behind because the 18yr Anniversary mix got pushed to January, and the house recap became February. Anyway, this is all the non-house stuff, filled with nudisco, daytime disco, amapiano, kaytranada type beats, retro remixes, boogie edits, rn'b, hip hop...all the good stuff (and then some "end of the night" vibes to finish it off). Not all necessarily released in 2023, but I discovered the songs in 2023.

So fix yourself a drink, sit back and enjoy the vibes (or lets be real, throw it on in the background while working or doing your household chores lol!)

The Soul Shack turned 18 back in November and we celebrated at Better Days in Miami the best way possible...with absolute freedom musically! If you want to hear what that sounds like click play to hear a crazy eclectic mix including everything from the starting track, a modern slow song by Teddy Swims to reggae to jungle to indie dance rock to retro & new wave to hip hop & rn'b to afro & amapiano to house & nudisco! (and on Mixcloud I just posted the 2nd half of "So This Is 50", which I recorded at Better Days in April for my birthday!)

Clearly posting this now for January (and posting January in May here on podomatic), we're a little behind schedule, but have no fear, I still recorded the 2023 House Music & Lounge Music ReCaps, (which you can hear on Mixcloud until I post them here). Enjoy!

It's embarrassing how behind I am here on podomatic (but I go over my bandwidth too quickly, then have to wait a whole month for it to reset, so I can upload) Anyhow, here's the last instalment of the 2023 Summer Cottage Mix Series (the more house vibed "Summer Home in Mykonos") and then we can skip the Christmas Cocktails mix that was December so the next up here will be the 18yr anniversary mix recording from Better Days in Miami.

This one was recorded at Kasa Moto back in August, summery house vibes with a bunch of remixes of familiar stuff, a little tropical, and then a little more late nite vibes for the last bit. It's a full 4 hour set, so lots of ground covered. Hope you enjoy!

Sorry for the delay in posting, I kept missing my window to upload a new mix before I went over my bandwidth limit, but here it is, the return of the very popular "Saturday Afternoon Edition" from the Cottage Mix Series. This mix was recorded live at the Thursday Ladies Night residency I was doing and it's pure retro nostalgia for the grown folks! (There's even a little freestyle set snuck in with some of my favourites)

I'm bringing back the Cottage Mix Series for 2023! July (it was posted earlier on Mixcloud) is the Friday Night Edition, recorded live at a "Retro Attic" party, where all of the song selections had to be at least 10 years old, so nothing but throwbacks! Recording it live at a gig like this I had to keep it pretty mainstream, so no obscure gems here, but definitely some guilty pleasures lol! (Next up will be a new Saturday Afternoon edition which is already available on Mixcloud, and then there will be a Saturday Night Edition, a Sunday Morning Edition and a new Summer Home in Mykonos Edition too!)
