The Soul Unleashed With Mike Nicholas

Who doesn't have questions about the Truths of Life, right?  While I don't have all of the answers in a 10-minute podcast, I discuss some basic principles about what I've come to appreciate as “Truths” about life. They don't always match up with what I was taught growing up.  I also compare some of these newly-realized truths against some very difficult times, when “truth” or  meaning to life seemed far away.  I refer to some passages from Victor Frankl's work “Mans Search for Meaning.”

“Man can preserve a vestige of spiritual freedom, of independence of mind, even in such terrible conditions of psychic and physical stress. We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”

And, according to Frankl, we can live deliberately:

“Ultimately, man should not ask what the meaning of his life is, but rather he must recognize that it is he who is asked.  In a word, each man is questioned by life; and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life; to life, he can only respond by being responsible.”

When I lost my son, my wife and I suffered for months with very challenging grief. It was only through the amazing and unexpected appearance of orbs that we started to find comfort and a belief that our son continued to be a part of our lives. It led me to explore other forms of spirituality. I became open to other ways of interpreting our life's path that were very different from my traditional religious view.

Here are some additional current extraordinary child prodigies:

1. Alina Morse (born 2005) is an American entrepreneur who founded the company Zolli Candy at the age of 9. She created a line of sugar-free candy aimed at promoting oral health and has since expanded her business to include a range of healthy snacks.

And here is the story about the boy with the mark on his head from a previous life:

in “Before: Children’s Memories of Previous Lives,” Jim Tucker discusses the case of a Lebanese boy named Imad Elawar who reported memories of a past life as a mechanic who died in a car accident.

According to the accounts, Imad began talking about his past life at the age of two, and provided detailed information about his previous family, including the names of family members, his occupation, and the location of his home. Imad also had an unusual fascination with cars and mechanics, which was unusual for a child of his age.

Imad’s statements were verified by a local historian who was able to confirm many of the details that Imad provided, including the name of the man he claimed to have been in his past life. Imad was also able to identify his previous home and provide details about the layout of the house.

In addition, Imad had a distinctive birthmark on his forehead, which he claimed was from a head injury sustained in the car accident that killed him in his past life. The mark was consistent with the type of injury that Imad claimed to have had in his past life.

Tucker’s investigation of the case concluded that the details provided by Imad were accurate and could not be explained by normal means. The case has been cited as a compelling example of a child who reported memories of a past life, and the evidence supporting the claims was considered to be strong.

In this podcast, I talk about some reflections I had, caused by listening to an interview by Reuben Langdon on the “Gaia” app.  Reuben interviews Lee Harris, who channels “the Z's”, a group of 88 extra-dimensional beings.  Although this might be construed by the “old me” as being “way out there”, I resonated with some of the things that Lee shared.  In this podcast, I relate them to my own experiences, and particularly to the loss of my son.

The experience reminded me of some stories I've read, where children might say some surprising things, but they are often “shut down” or told to be quiet, so that they are not thought to be strange.
