What's up everyone. The scouts are back, and we are so excited about this episode:

May is Lupus Awareness month! 

On this episode, Katt struggles to give a spoiler-free synopsis to Foxx about the movie Bubble on Netflix. They also talk about Netflix's Sonic Prime show, and Stray getting delayed (AGAIN!). They then briefly geek out over Tiny Tina's Wonderland. Foxx also shares her testimony with Lupus, and how communities should be more accessible and encouraging, especially to those with illnesses and disabilities.

Jamila Rowser is a writer and publisher who loves creating comics for Black and brown women, whether it's through writing the stories herself, or publishing the work of others through her publishing company, Black Josei Press. Jamila is most known for her award-winning, debut comic Wash Day, illustrated by Robyn Smith. She was also featured in Adweek’s Creative 100 in 2021 as Artists and Authors to follow. Jamila lives in Miami, but reps The Bronx. You can find her detangling her hair, reading manga, and doting on her two cats Sage and Sapphire.

Trinidad Escobar is a cartoonist, poet, and musician from Milpitas, CA. Her work has been featured in literary journals and other publications like NPR, The New Yorker, Shenandoah, and more. In 2019, Trinidad was named as one of YBCA’s most influential global artists for her comics journalism and workshops grounded in gender and racial justice. In 2020, her works were featured in Eisner and Ignatz-winning anthologies like Drawing Power (Abrams) and Be Gay, Do Comics (IDW). Her poem-comic on sexual violence is currently on display at the first-ever international Women in Comics exhibit in Naples and Rome, Italy. You can find her playing music with her son and partner by the sea.
