What happens when you do everything right, and your body fails anyway? Lauren Ramzinsky spent years chasing an idiopathic diagnosis before a single word, heard in her sleep, changed the direction of her life: fascia. Lauren is a fascia and nervous system specialist and the founder of the Rapha Body Experience. In this conversation, she talks about growing up in the Texas Hill Country, the body shame that took root in a childhood dance class and shaped years of her relationship with her own body, losing her college love to cancer, surviving her own years-long health collapse after a 2020 viral infection, and the moment everything shifted. We get into the difference between guilt and shame, why she refuses to hand clients the same shame-based "math" that once shaped her own body image, why the body is better described as a diary than a scorekeeper, how unprocessed grief and trauma show up as physical illness, and what it actually looks like to work with a client when nobody, including the doctors, has an answer.
