Season 20 Episode 14
This episode features a clip from Strike Force Five, the podcast featuring Stephen Colbert, Seth Myers, John Oliver, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon, which they created to raise money for their staffs during the ongoing strike. I really enjoy their dynamic and it’s so fun that they all clearly like each other as compared to the olden days when there was so much animus between the late-night hosts. I pulled a clip of Steven Colbert telling the story of how he met his wife.
Season 20 Episode 13
This episode features a clip of a YouTuber andewr reflecting on HBO’s How To with John Wilson, one of the best things I’ve ever seen. If like me, you missed hearing about it, it just wrapped on the 3rd and final season. There’s six 25 minute long episodes per season, and they are nothing like anything you’ve ever seen on TV before. Part personal video essay, part comedy, part poignant vignettes of everyday people. It’s the most NYC thing ever and it’s truly something special. Don’t miss it!
Season 20 Episode 12
This episode features a clip from The Urbanist Agenda podcast where Jason and Adam talk about how annoying it is that cars vs bikes has become a culture war issue in Europe, as traditional conservative parties have tried to court right-wing party voters only to lose votes to them. A trend witnessed in Sweden as well.
Season 20 Episode 11
This episode features a clip of Kumail Nanjiani on ABC’s Good Morning America (of all places) talking about his Hulu limited series Welcome to Chippendales. He produced it with his wife and stars in the series. I missed it when it came out late last year, but watched it recently knowing nothing about the history, and thought it was fascinating and just a really great series. So I highly recommend checking it out, and the less you know about it beforehand, the better.
Season 20 Episode 10
This episode features an edited-down "41 Lessons from My 41 Years" list presented by Nate B. Jones on TikTok. It was too long to include the whole thing, but I really don't disagree with any of his list. This kinda thing easily veers too far into trite, but there can be a lot of truth in well-composed bumper stickers, and I think Nate hits them all well.

Season 20 Episode 9
This episode features a clip of a CNN Town Hall where former NJ governor and Trump lackey Chris Christie recounts how Trump gave him COVID, which very nearly killed him, then lied about it, naturally.

Season 20 Episode 8
This episode features a clip from a recent episode of Sam Harris' podcast Making Sense, where he talks about the incomprehensible waste of collective attention the human race has wasted on about the least important human to ever be born. I didn't include much of it, when he gets into a media analysis and so on, but I'm 100% with him on all of it.
