On Monday, July 7, Smith started her new role as the director of the museum.   • Kimbell Lake boardwalk steps toward completion

    Construction on a 1,000-foot boardwalk at Jackson’s Kimbell Lake is nearing completion after a summer full of heavy rains and rising waters kept crews from finishing the project sooner. Jackson Mayor Paul South said handrails on the 8-foot wide boardwalk were being added earlier this week. The trail is expected to attract many who have never enjoyed the lake previously.
