She wore white hats of every kind, big floppy beach hats, baseball caps with her long ponytail pulled through the back, even those crisp white Walla Roo hats with the black bands. Style? That girl had it.
She never did breakfast, always brunch. Ten o’clock was just about perfect.
Owning a flower shop with her crazy sister in Pensacola was the last place she ever imagined her New York law degree would lead her. But after her mom passed away, she came home to the beach house where, as little girls, she and her sister used to sit on the porch and plan their lives. Funny how those plans never quite work out, she said softly, passing a bowl of fresh fruit across the table.
So is it really all a mystery? Are we chasing answers that don’t exist… or is it all unfolding exactly the way it’s supposed to?
There comes a time when you have to choose between turning the page and closing the book.
Those thoughts that needle you in the early morning hours, the “what ifs” and “should haves” they only hold you back. Make your move. Take the step. Get on with it.
Remember, the trick is to enjoy life. Don’t wish away all your tomorrows waiting on a better day. Live today. Do what makes you happy. Laugh as much as you breathe.
