Those words came to me years ago when I worked as a builder’s helper on log cabins. It was hot, the sun was high, and Larry would drink black coffee all day long without flinching. I’d just shake my head and keep working, learning how to fit those logs together like old-school Legos, one beam at a time.

You see, if you worry too much about the outcome, nothing ever gets done. But if you start, piece by piece, you begin to see it come together. “Coffee?” he’d ask. “I’m good,” I’d say.

Then one day, standing there looking at that finished cabin, quiet, solid, waiting for memories to move in, I finally understood.

Remember, focus on what can go right, and see what you can build.
