The Space Cadet Sports Podcast - A Houston Sports Show

The Astros rallied late and were able to avoid a shutout, but weren’t able to score enough runs to win the game. Dropping the game to a dominant Tarik Skubal who pitched a shutout through the 6th inning. Framber struggled but the bullpen was solid. But the Astros offense was unable to come through until the 9th inning. Let’s recap this game and talk about why I’m actually optimistic that the Astros win the game tomorrow to push the series to a third game!

Vamos vamos Astros

The Houston Astros and Justin Verlander take one last show on the road this season as they go to Cleveland, take two games and decide to call it a season. We discuss some roster moves, the games in Cleveland and then look ahead to the Wild Card series against the Motor City Kitties. Tarik Skubal is not the brand of an old chewing tobacco and is actually the AL Triple Crown winner leading the AL pitchers in wins, strikeouts and ERA. He is the obvious winner of this year’s Cy Young Award and will be who A.J. Hinch and the Detroit Tigers bet their playoff life on. As the Astros prepare to face-off against Hinch, Skubal and the Tiger Kings, we join them here at the pod today. Check it out!

Your Houston Astros are the AL West Champion yet again and the haters are in shambles as the team continues to dominate. In a poetic game, the Astros outlast the Mariners as they have solid starting pitching, bullpen relief and blast 3 homers en route to taking the crown again. The Astros may be inevitable to all the haters, but I’ve seen a team that has adjusted and fought their way back into contention. A team that has found their way again, and right in time for playoff baseball. Enjoy the pod, Houston! We get to be spoiled by another year of playoff baseball!
