  • Boogeyman: Closets, Crows, and Emily Deschanel…for five minutes

After an insanely long hiatus, we are back! This time, ripping on the first of three Boogeyman films…Boogeyman, starring Barry Watson (7th Heaven, all else is irrelevant) and Emily Deschanel (the older sister of that quirky chick on New Girl). Fair warning: If you are afraid of doors, closets, or 90s hair cuts, this movie is not for you.

BOOGEYMAN (2005): Set in the country, ‘Boogeyman’ tells the haunting tale of a young man traumatized by memories of terrible events he experienced in his childhood bedroom and who, years later, reluctantly returns home to face his fears of a monstrous entity that could be real or merely a figment of his imagination. (from IMDb)

  • The Return: Visions, Small Towns, and Sarah Michelle Gellar

Sadly, The Return isn’t as hilariously awful as the others, but it’s SMG, so how could one resist giving it a shot?

THE RETURN (2006): Joanna Mills, a traveling business woman, begins having nightmares of a murder that occurred 15 years ago. Soon she is drawn to an old farmhouse, where the murder took place. (from IMDb)

  • Asylum: Asylums, Hallways, and Sarah Roemer

This is the EVER so hilarious commentary for Asylum. If you’ve not seen it, definitely check it out sometime. It stars Sarah Roemer (The Event, Disturbia) and we had fun, as always, ripping on this “horror” flick.

    Enjoy!

ASYLUM (2008): Six college students discover their dorm was once an insane asylum that conducted gruesome lobotomy’s on its teenage inmates during the 1930’s. (from IMDb)

  • Born: Demons, Babies, and Alison Brie

So this is the latest podcast by the usual, awesome, 3 of us, and the first one of 2011. The movie, Born, is all kinds of wow, in so many ways, and Alison Brie (Community, Mad Men) really did an amazing job of acting, and I really can’t stress that enough. I don’t watch Mad Men, but I highly recommend watching Community, if you don’t already.

Other than that, listen, watch the movie, if you get a chance, and we hope you enjoy the podcast.

BORN (2007): Mary Elizabeth goes to bed alone one night, still a 21 year old virgin, and wakes up the next morning…pregnant. Possessed by the demon fetus growing within her womb, Mary Elizabeth obeys her homicidal cravings to kill…for the sake of her unborn spawn. Mary Elizabeth’s dark transformation, controlled by her unborn demon child, is driven by its dark cravings. Once the child is born there will be hell on earth. From this apparent immaculate conception comes edge of your seat terror. (from IMDb)

  • The American Mall: Malls, America, and Nina Dobrev

There’s another epic-ly awesome-ly so-bad-it’s-good movie (made-for-MTV in this case) called The American Mall starring Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries, Never Cry Werewolf) and Autumn Reeser (No Ordinary Family, The O.C.)

Again we have Rachel Kiley, Jackalbane and myself on this one. It was totally fun to do. I really can’t say much else other than for you to just watch it with us, or just listen to us, but it’s really a fun movie either way. And with that, we give you…

THE AMERICAN MALL (2008): A musical romantic comedy set at a mall and focused on the relationship between two young musicians and their respective personal and professional struggles. (from IMDb)

  • Never Cry Werewolf: Werewolves, Crying, and Nina Dobrev

So there’s this epic-ly awesome-ly so-bad-it’s-good movie called Never Cry Werewolf starring Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries, Degrassi: the Next Generation) and Kevin Sorbo (Hercules, Andromeda)

We have Rachel Kiley, Jackalbane and myself, this time doing a full length movie commentary, and OMG…was it fun. As stated in the podcast we did do the edited-for-TV version of this, so if you do decide to watch and listen, keep that in mind.

NEVER CRY WEREWOLF (2008): Jared Martin moves next door to the Hansetts, along with his hot motorcycle and eerie, ill-tempered dog. Although everyone else in the neighborhood takes an instant liking to him, Loren Hansett can’t get over the bad vibes her new neighbor gives her. She starts to spy on his nocturnal activities and comes to believe that a recent killing might the work of a werewolf who happens to be her new neighbor. Can she and Redd Tucker, a washed-up TV hunting show host, team up to kill the lycanthrope before he can finish them both off? (from IMDb)
