A pioneer in endoscopic sinus surgery and cochlear implants, he has trained 1,200+ ENT surgeons, performed over 4,000 cochlear implant surgeries. In 2014, he was awarded the Padma Shri for his contributions to medicine.
He talks to us about his journey, Cochlear implant and its impact, training and mentorship, and also the I Hear Foundation which he established that funds implants and trains audiologists.
