The Spike Feed

What could be better than casting a 7 mana creature on turn 1? Casting all the creatures on turn 1. We talk our weeks which include Modern, Standard, and Omniscience Draft. We discuss the finer points of the Banned and Restricted Announcement, and we talk Captain Marvel and Destiny. Thank you for your honor.

Standard continues to be great. We play some mono blue and BUG this week. We take a look at the possibilities of what Modern Horizons might do to the Modern format. We take a look at Middle School and we talk video games. Thank you for your honor.

Standard continues to be great. We talk about the Pro Tou..er the uhh the uh Mythic Championship. We discuss the implications of the new mulligan rule as it pertains to Legacy and Vintage, and explore the world of Metro Exodus. Thank you for your honor.

Wouldn’t it be great if we lived in a world where you could have your cake and eat it too. Apparently with the Nexus of Fate Arena Banning, WotC think just that. We speculate what this weird half banning will mean for the future of Magic. We also go deep on the lack of clear scheduling on Wizards part this past year. Thank you for your honor.

We talk standard this week with highlights on Esper and Mono Red. For the second GP in a row, we don’t get tournament coverage. It’s like Wizards isn’t taking our calls or something… And we spend some time talking about the video game that everyone is currently talking about: Apex Legends. Thank you for your honor.

What a week. With the lack of communication from Wizards we don’t know if coverage of the Spike Feed or GPs will continue... We look at the zanny world of bringing two decks with sideboards, but don’t use sideboards for this new invitational. And standard continues to be good. Thank you for your honor.

A new constructed is here, what does the meta look like? We go over some of the new decks that are making a splash, give our takes on the Modern Banned and Restricted announcement, and talk video games. Thank you for your honor.

After a Midwest Snowpocalypse, we were somehow able to both record a show AND pre-release. We give our initial takes on the new set, discuss the “dead” format known as Legacy, and look at all of the decks that brewers are coming up with for Standard. Thank you for your honor.

It’s an episode of mystery and intrigue. Will Cameron get better after his bout of the flu? Will Curtis adopt Patrick Lavon Mahomes II  as a new son? What happened to San Diego’s Football team? We take a look at all of these mysteries, and we speculate on all of the coming questions of 2019… with regard to MTG. Thank you for your honor.

After a brief holiday hiatus, we're back to form. To be completely different and shake things up, we talk Modern. We give our hot takes on the last year in Magic. And we talk about our favorite video games. Thank you for your honor.
