The Spike Feed

Dominaria spoilers are plentiful this week, so we give our takes on what this could mean for all of the formats in Magic. We discuss Legacy and Standard, and take a step into the sartorial world of Curtis. Thank you for your honor.

This week we celebrate Modern and Legacy. Cameron crushes his tournament by going 0-2-1-Drop, while Curtis continues his quest of refining Modern Storm. We go over some cards spoiled with the current masters set, and we talk video games (of course). Thank you for your honor.

After the Jace extravaganza from last week, we decide to give Bloodbraid Elf a little attention. Cameron suits up a Jund modern list to little avail. Curtis plays some Standard Monsters, and we talk about the new Standard Challenge Decks, From the Vaults Dryad Arbor, and homemade ice cream. Thank you for your honor.

It was a whirlwind of a week thanks to the unbanning of Jace, the Mindsculptor and Bloodbraid Elf. So we discuss at length what this means to the Modern format. Cameron suits up a wide away of blue based control strategies and is giddy with excitement. We also talk more about the same video games we played last week. Thank you for your honor.

Bloodbraid, we think it's time. We explore a few different topics this week: card quality, Modern un-bannings, and the return FNM promos. We talk about the current state of Standard, and wax poetic on two incredibly good video games. Thank you for your honor.

The Modern Pro Tour happened and we have reason to celebrate. The format was't busted wide open. We talk the Pro Tour, and take a look at the top performing decks. Hey look, Jace is getting reprinted...again. We also talk a little Halo Wars and the Post. Thank you for your honor.

It’s a light news week after the recent standard bannings, but that doesn’t stop Cameron and Curtis from postulating alternate universes. Cameron plays some new standard with successes and failures, while Curtis suits up Death’s Shadow. We talk about a utopian modern world, an discuss movies and video games (as per the norm). Thank you for your honor.

A crazy week gives us tons of stuff to go over. We give our takes on the recent Standard bannings, talk a little bit about the new economy of Arena, and review this little indie darling called Blade Runner 2049. Thank you for your honor.

Rivals of Ixalan is upon us, and we go over some more cards. Will it affect Standard the way we want it to? Only time will tell. Cameron plays some Jesaki in Modern, while Curtis plays a new Limited set. We also talk video games and a Batman documentary. Thank you for your honor.

We had a little audio hiccup this week, but that's not stopping us from delivering some sick magic content. We talk Stoneblade and Storm (surprise, surprise), but then go through a ton of Rival's of Ixalan spoilers. We talk TV and video games. Thank you for your honor.
